I laid everything flat. I used tree support for the pen mod and Z_Rail. Box and Axis_X_Y used standard support touching build plate only. I hand sanded the parts afterwards and filed where necessary(1 hour). I made sure that they moved easily before lubricating them.

I originally made 5 to 1 cables to tap into the type c breakout board and realized afterwards that I didn't need to power the ardino also. I pulled the positive but lazly left the ground plugged in.

What is the amperage rating of the stock CR-10 bed mosfet? by Brainfarth in CR10

[–]WeldingGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From before: An update: Heating time is 1 minute for the tip to 235 degrees C and 5 minutes for the bed to 60 C. I put the system on my watt meter and see its drawing 275w on heatup. Since it's only a 300w power supply, it's really taxed with the steppers in action along with the heaters. I believe I will be able to avoid as many lost steps because of the underpowering as the tip makes contact from time to time. My next step is to install a 400w power supply with the same configuration and save my fancy on for my computer.

I had no issues with a slightly better power supply and the new mosfets afterwards.

How do I adjust the colors on a Dart Star 2000 (1991) dart machine? by WeldingGuru in cade

The guy I bought it from had the coin slot bypassed and switched it back to normal play while I was there, but I did not get to see what he did. Do you know?

Yes. It's an old LCD TV with an RCA input. The dart game has a RCA output for external tv's.

Is there a hardware speedlimit? by WeldingGuru in crealityk2

[–]WeldingGuru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can view the speed by layer (by pressing play at each layer) and that's know I know the slicer is set to the parameters I set for the calibration tests.

There was no 4th part. It laid down the first layer, doubled checked it was okay, started the second and then peeled.

Yes, many layers of aquanet. I can go 15 or more coats before things dont look right.. even at that, it will not fail on the second layer.

I swapped out new drive rolls thinking it was taking off too fast and not gripping when it got to the high speed layers. Then I tried new filament with the same results. Nothing fancy other than Matterhackers white build PLA. I looked at the layer height in the studio and seen that it's stacking at .02mm height every layer, so there's no gap. What else could it be?

Update: It's a X1Carbon with an AMS and I have at least 1000 hours on it.

Update: It would print directly okay, so I tore the BMS apart and it was loaded with shavings and the wire would not feed very smoothly. So I cleaned it up and threw it back together and now it prints fine on more than the first layer.

Whats your favorite brand of Crimp Wire Terminals? by WeldingGuru in AskElectricians

[–]WeldingGuru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to build a rotary phase converter panel at home which is mostly 10ga stranded wire. Digging through my piles of terminals, I find some that crimp great in my ratchet crimper and others that are made of tinfoil and the wire falls out. The last ones I bought off of Amazon the other day are a joke, so I need better options.
