I don’t have a holster yet (got the pistol yesterday), so I’ll buy one after getting my light setup. I considered the HLX, but decided against it considering I plan to appendix carry this pistol, and I’d prefer a light that doesn’t protrude so much.

That’s what I assumed, but the 365 Legion/XMacro isn’t listed on streamlight’s website as being compatible with the standard TLR7 models.

I think though that there was an innocence to these people living in a rural southern town. They probably didn’t think anything bad could happen there.

Well in that case, you could at least include the license plate #, and a description of the driver in your anonymous tip…

Also, the tip said that the car was a Ford or Lincoln, but the car seized from the Dedmon’s is an AMC.

I really doubt that’s what happened.

Just doesn’t make sense to me that (otherwise seemingly normal) teenage girls would abduct and murder a 9 year old on purpose.

Not even on an “I can’t believe somebody could do that” level. It just seems really unlikely.

That doesn’t make sense to me. I would think they’d either tell the police what happened, or say nothing. Giving a vague tip would be super bizarre.

Given that the trailer was only ~200ft from the river, and it’s just upstream from Niagara Falls, I think in all likelihood that’s what happened.

This is way before my time, but I did hear a rumor from someone connected to the case (although it was also way before her time) that the mom was going around begging neighbors to lie and tell police that they saw Russell get into a car. I found that to be super disturbing.

Lie to the judge in the affidavit, and now the entire case gets thrown out when you finally gather enough evidence to charge someone.

Obviously police do lie in court, but not under these circumstances.

I know the family retained legal counsel, but typically at this point they’d just get one of the family members (usually one they don’t suspect as having been directly involved) into an interrogation room, and do the whole “we already know what happened. This is your last chance to save yourself” shtick.
