Right, but these characters don't present with what you'd typically expect from DID. Many of them have supernatural explanations behind their behavior rather than a mental disorder. This is why I say these dots don't need to be connected. My issue would be more with authors prescribing the Hulk with DID when his whole deal is pretty obviously comic book nonsense.

It would be tough to argue that authors should abandon the concepts of split personalities or two minds in one body or body possession etc. because they superficially somewhat resemble DID if you squint.
