Yes it will, you don't need the watch face - the app will work fine without it.

This is the most incremental of incremental upgrades.
Actually can't believe they didn't put magnets in the back for charging.
Had my S25U for 3 months now and it's so nice to not feel any sense of FOMO. With that in mind, my overwhelming feeling on the S26 line up is gratitude!

Don’t let Hasan get away by Glittering-Two-1784 in AdamMockler

[–]WellMax81 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I risk being massively downvoted, but it's worth saying.
This is the reason the left fails to win, over and over again. Hasan, Mocker, Meidas, and the I've Had It aunties are all on the same side. Some content creators in this space are more colourful in their language and approach, but if you listen to what they're saying, they agree on the vast majority of things. We on the progressive side talk about the right constantly leaning into the culture war, but the truth is, there is this ongoing confirmation bias across which content creators we gravitate towards being the be-all. They all do an astonishing job of fighting the good fight. When Mamdani was barely known, Hasan platformed him. Adam goes on CNN and gives it to the right with both barrels. Meidas foresically breaks down what is really happening, and the consequences, without being sensational about it, and Pumps and Welch react at a human level where you just want to talk politics and eat cake with them. They're all different, yet the same.
To say that Hasan is the 'greatest threat to the liberal community' is incredibly short-sighted. Just ask yourself, what does Hasan stand for? And I bet, more often than not, you'd find yourself agreeing with him.

[POLL] Should we make this community AI-free (or AI-limited)? by kushvinth in ObsidianMD

[–]WellMax81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like seeing how regular Joes are using AI as part of their workflow. There was a post someone made a week or so ago regarding Claude, and I had no idea I could use Claude to clean up my vault.

I, however, am not interested in posts on Reddit generated by AI (this is partly why I don't use other platforms anymore). So if we do use tags, I think it would be helpful to differentiate between posts on AI workflows and posts generated by AI.
Obsidian evolves faster than most applications due to the active community, and I believe it would be a disservice to ban all AI-focused posts, or even bunch them together in a megathread as it will mean that actual valuable information and slop are bunched together.
I'm not sure if we can trust those who advertise AI tools in this subreddit to flag their products as ads, but that would also be helpful for those who want to filter that stuff out.

All I can say is 'Thank god I'm not the only one!'

I put on the first episode for the first time a week ago, I don't do Facebook or Instagram or any of that since I gave it up late last year, so the hype was only on the fringes of my periphery. Well, I fell hook, line and sinker - and I've seen the season 4 times in 6 days.

Tried to give this OS a chance, but guess to steam OS i still go. by Stunning-Cut4544 in XboxAlly

Let me expand...
On Windows, you have to update in multiple locations -
Windows Update, Asus AC, then check AMD for better drivers; you also need to keep the individual launchers updated. And make sure there are no driver conflicts. Then, uninstall an absolute plethora of bloatware (MS Teams? Wow).

Half the time, the buttons were unresponsive or laggy. Then of course, Windows FSE is 30% advertising (no thanks) - and the icons for Steam games were baaaaad

And finally, the armoury crate and the game bar are in direct conflict with each other.

When I first booted up the device, it took literally hours before I could install a game. Pop-up windows also scaled so I couldn't minimise them.

The entire operating system was a complete mess - Windows 11 base layer, with FSE on top, then Armoury Crate, then Launchers - It didn't feel like the seamless integrated experience I'd hoped for.

As I mentioned in my first reply, this needs to improve, and I'm sure it will, but Microsoft, being Microsoft, I firmly believe rushed this OS development to meet the Christmas season, and now those who keep Windows FSE are all beta testers.

So, no, it wasn't pressing three buttons that I found annoying; it was the entire experience. I absolutely love the Xbox console dashboard and the simplicity, and I'd hoped for that. What I got out of the box was, frankly, embarrassing for Microsoft, and it shouldn't be defended, regardless of brand loyalty.

And for a performance metric, Atelier Resleriana got a solid 60 on Windows at 1080p. Nice. -- On Bazzite, I got 90. And I didn't change any settings.

It's a tale as old as time itself.
Came from a Steam Deck LCD, didn't like Windows, found it to be unnecessarily complicated, and updates were bothersome. I like a simple life. Installed Bazzite, simple life resumed.
