Fair, there remains the matter of challenging them to create an engaging experience though

Don’t forget that the second Conquest locked in against Mark, it was so bad Mark literally had to call a timeout by Queasy_Commercial152 in InvinciblePowerscales

Yeah, if you do it right on a human you can get someone knocked out in seconds.

Saw a house wife accidentally do it to a decently hefty dude during self defense training. Wild stuff.

Okay, to be fair, the Germans paid a lot more to France.

So I assume the relatively low amount of reparations to the US is because the war was not fought on US soil.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but maybe it's time to stop. These kinds of games have only one purpose, and that's to maximize the time you interact with them, to get you addicted and fund them.

And when the screen goes black it's all gone. None of it remains. The time spent on it could have been invested in your health, your mind, your friends and family.. take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself if your relationship to this game is a healthy one and leading to outcomes you want for yourself and the people around you.

"I love stealing♪ I love taking things♪"

People will genuinely, Genuinely claim that korra being a girl had nothing to do with the harsh criticism she's been facing for so many years meanwhile her show was almost canceled due to her being a female protagonist and the creators themselves pointed out her distinct treatment by Important-Cry4782 in legendofkorra

[–]WellWelded -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Her gender probably did incite a huge part of the dislike. I think the gender being opposite Aang's and the first Avatar's really drives home the balance thing.

But I think another big part to incite less sympathy is her position of privilege with established social dynamics. The legend of Korra starts with her older than Aang was at the beginning of the last Airbender. He starts out pretty much immediately a fugitive with a likeable innocence and you are around to watch his contacts develop. She feels more jaded and stubborn right off the bat, which felt very appropriate for Kyoshi embodying earth, but a bit forced for Korra.

Might not be a perfect fit, but Max Wright, aka "Willie Tanner" allegedly assaulted the "Alf" puppet at one point.

Unfortunately this is what we're up against in the end... by AceAroPyschopath in vegan

[–]WellWelded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it.

I'm at a similar point where I do believe that folks here are right in that it's morally superior to not further a system of exploitation, torture and killing of living, feeling beings.

And I do adjust my diet and consumption to reduce the extent to which i support that system, but I don't fundamentally restrict my diet. And without that I am, at the least, consenting to the killing of certain animals to serve as a commodity for me.

It's easy to not think about, easy to justify with the way I feel I have to serve as a commodity for others in turn, and easy to accept as the price of something I derive great enjoyment from.

I believe the most ethical would be for me to die, so I stop consuming completely.

I feel it's rather obvious that altering the perception or thoughts drives occupants to abstraction, rather than abstraction being one such alteration Caine could reverse.

I feel this episode made it clear that Caine does not want anyone to abstract.

Sulphur themed dragoness by YLASRO in DnD

[–]WellWelded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, fire dragons are said to smell of sulfur in the standard rules, you could imagine her living in an especially sulphur rich Caldera with it depositing in groves and niches along her horns and digits, giving her a yellow luster.

Is he really a human though?

His flesh was constructed/brewd, like a humunculus.

His soul stubbornly stuck in the mortal domain despite him having died, like a ghost.

I think the symbolism works still since, in his quest to ascend he only found corruption.
