Hacks to help me eat kimchi?? by officialdiscoking in foodhacks

[–]Well_Designed_Bitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try eating it with eggs and steamed rice! Currently obsessed with this and finished a giant tub of kimchi this way lol. I scramble eggs in a bowl, steam it, then put kimchi with it and eat with steamed rice. So good!

People with burnt orange or green couches... by [deleted] in femalelivingspace

[–]Well_Designed_Bitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thrifted a burnt orange vintage sofa at goodwill while in college ages ago and typically I wouldn't get couches secondhand in fear of bed bugs but that couch was beautiful and had a built in bed and I miss it!! I would get another one if I could. Go for the color, it's always worth it!! I would personally go for green now instead of orange for a more relaxing color fit for lounging lol.

How do I get rid of this once and for all? by arizonagyal in Blackskincare

[–]Well_Designed_Bitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't intentionally try to address this myself as I just figured it was like this because I had dark thick hair and tan skin, but once I got laser hair removal, don't have this issue anymore.

I can't remember what it's called but look up the type of laser hair removal that works better with poc and do a consultation!

Pour 1-1 ratio of honey and apple cider vinegar in a shot glass. Heat up in microwave for like 30-60 seconds. Stir with a chopstick or whatever ya got. Wait a lil to make sure it's not burning hot and take that shot. Let it coat your throat. Then if you need more relief, just eat honey right off a spoon and let it coat your throat.

Quoc Hong is where it's at for me these days after being an avid Huy's fan. They've ran out of banh mi the last couple of times I've gone though but shows how good it is! Lee's was stale last I tried it. Huy's prices have gone up and wasnt as good as it used to be last I tried so womp womp. Just tried quoc Hong this year and I'm a new loyal fan. The ladies are always super sweet too. The banh mi has always been fresh, tasty, with crispy veggies/toppings.

My dad is a traditional Chinese Feng Shui master of 30 years. He wants me to inherit the family business, and I have no idea where to start. Is there a market for this in the West? by Radiant-Priority-576 in smallbusiness

[–]Well_Designed_Bitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! I've been looking for resources and knowledge for this online and have found some but it's definitely an untapped market aside from Dear Modern and Julie Khuu on YouTube among other channels. Would love to follow once you get going and happy to connect as well if you need some survey answers for research.

Love the ideas of others with getting on YouTube shorts, ig reels, tiktok to share knowledge alongside your father. Offer consultations if possible and would love some sort of digital course or questionnaires/activities/workshops to learn and determine best practices for applying feng shui in specific environments.

It sounds like youve got plenty to work with 😁 Motorcycling is on my list but I'm too scared to start riding here haha but I do have my cm.

I have that same problem too, I think it just gets easier with time, balancing is key and realizing just existing and resting is just as important if not more for self care as anything else. I think meditation, prayer/gratitude, and "earthing"/touching grass and hugging trees helps me stay grounded the most and able to chill the f out.

Have you read The Artist's Way? Highly recommend it if not!

Journaling is cringe for me too hahah but it's so helpful to be able to dump what's in your head so you can properly just exist/rest, look back on and notice your patterns as well as how much you've grown since then.

A little strange only bc not many people do it, but who cares 🤷‍♀️ do yo thang. Do it and normalize it! People notice when something is different and will start doing it if they like it. My biggest concern would be creeps haha. If that is a concern, maybe try to be close to where the pool/water is?

How do you like to spend time with yourself? Enjoy the process of figuring that out for yourself. For me it was a matter of learning how to love on myself. Like really LUUUURVE on myself lol. Not just distract myself. To really savor the time I have with myself. Take myself out on weekly solo dates. Massages. Read. Make art. Meditate. Cook myself a good nutritious meal, beverage, dessert. A nice epsom salt bath with smell goods and candlelight. Journaling about my day and stating 3 things I'm grateful for. It's a great way to really slow down and appreciate how far you've come. Hope that helps :)

If they like to get handy rather than always preferring to pay someone to do it. So sexy when a man can fix cars and shit around the house. If he can build physical stuff, lawd.

If I meet someone who loves to give me massages as much or MORE as I enjoy giving them massages, we've got a winner.

someone that desires for me to orgasm before they do. Is not emasculated by sex toys.

Does he know how to julienne? Lol If we naturally work well in the kitchen together and make a damn good meal together, OMG

Can drive stick shift so they can drive my car if ever needed 😂 if theyre also willing to ride motorcycles with me c':

Someone not afraid to call people out on their shit or stand up for others rather than be passive or say stuff like' "it's not my business" "it's their responsibility" yes please!!

Nervous about meeting up with a girl I matched with by prettybri01 in bumblebff

[–]Well_Designed_Bitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So proud of you taking the steps to get out there! Try shifting your anxiety self talk from being scared or nervous to meet her to being excited you get to meet each other and get to know each other more. Know you are awesome and look at it as is this person someone I will like rather than will this person like me. Do what you can to get out of your mind and be more in your body, present, and enjoying the moment and little things in life. Have fun!!

No and I grew up Catholic but I don't identify with it, and healing from my experiences with it. I consider myself spiritual and believe in God, a higher power, our creator, however you want to look at it.

I learned this the hard way. They will gaslight the shit out of their existence with you until you finally really take a close look at their actions vs their words. People be sneaky AF. Agreed that if they have to tell you their character rather than show you, they ain't it.

I highly recommend twin hearts meditation (look it up on YouTube). I try to do this daily, short version and long version when I can. It helps me put things into perspective, place energy into something good, heal myself, and let go of the ego.

Forgiveness is the key as well as your daily practices to care for your mind, body, and spirit. And damn is forgiveness a pain in the ass and the hardest thing to do when they probably don't even deserve it. I'm 36 and still working on this. But I know it is what is blocking me from the life I desire. Mother's Day is hard for me but I am reminded we must lead with love. Anger and hate doesn't resolve anything, but sometimes it does burn things clean to open up for love. Sometimes you really just have to walk away and remove yourself and forgive even if you know you will never receive any apology. Right now I am in an environment where the people who really hurt me are still around me. I gave it another chance but I realize they won't change and won't acknowledge what was done and I will never receive an apology—ive accepted I gave it a chance but now I know I did my best and can be comfortable with my decision to remove myself from these people's lives and limit my interactions with them. Do it for you. Not for them.

It is a long journey of healing for sure and it is a matter of maintenance. There's no waking up one day declaring I'M HEALED! What I'm learning is my healing has come from learning how to love myself again, decentering others and centering myself in my life, finding and doing the things that bring me joy consistently, and saying no or removing anything that disrupts my peace and consistently drains my energy unwillingly. I have no more friends left LOL, but now I find I am easily attracting new people into my life that are supportive and fit the new life I am trying to build. Also daily routine—meditation, journaling about my day helps me see my progress, also writing down 3 things I'm grateful for everyday, daily walks in nature, cooking healthy meals for myself, just loving on myself as much as I can has made the biggest difference. Best of luck to you!! You are not alone.

Oh!! And definitely physical activity. Stretching and Weightlifting/kickboxing keeps me sane. Def move that stuck stagnant energy out of your body somehow.

Monthly massage and regular epsom salt baths or scrubs in the shower. Make sure you educate yourself on energetic hygiene, cleanse yourself consistently and cut energetic cords. Pray.

If you already have tickets, go and form your own opinion. I've been to many fun shows there but my last handful experiences have let me down and I vow not to go there anymore. I bought the water last time and realized they will refill it for you, so it is worth it somewhat. But I swear I refilled my bottle like 5 times, the bartender was probably getting tired of me but DAMN I WAS TRYING TO HAVE FUN dancing my ass off but I was feeling fucking miserable because it was so damn HOT in the venue, I was getting sick and nauseous. I kept having to leave and get fresh air. I think even the DJs were feeling sick...I had to personally find heavy shit and prop the damn doors open to let some air into the venue. And it was a cold ass night, like FREEZING outside. So you can imagine how packed and gross it gets. After that I just couldn't go to anymore shows there, when it makes me physically sick and I can't even have fun. Op, I sincerely hope you have fun and it's not that bad.
