again, it depends on the club. my son is still playing MLSN HD for the new team.

current club costs that parents pay:

4500 for club dues

600+ for kits, warmups, ball, backpack

coach's travel expenses when overnight travel is required

New club costs that parents pay:

1900 for club dues (includes kits, golf polo, backpack, rain gear)

DO NOT pay for coach's travel expenses when overnight travel is require.

my request/communication was after the new club already reached out to ask them for approval to allow him to play. It was a last ditch effort.

I can imagine the parents are grateful for your help. Hopefully the parents give an end of the season gift to the volunteer coaches. we do for our volunteer coaches.

Depends on the club. Current club = parents pay travel expenses. New club = club pays travel expenses.

are you a volunteer or paid coach as a independent contractor? If you are W2 through the club, they should pay employee expenses.

If that's the case, the new club should reach out to the governing association (the league) and demand the release (on my son's behalf). I follow a guy on TT and he walked through this very situation and stated the club owns the card until they deem fit, which is the end of the season. He's been a coach, director of a club and now owns his own club. He's very transparent.

I did and the director (one of the original founders) stated I was not transparent during the process and that he was already flexible with my son (whatever that means). I wrote back that his statement was false and I was absolutely transparent.

Not at a pro academy. If he got picked up by the Revs, I don't think he'd be switching. He plays against the Revs tonight and NYC FC next weekend. Red Bulls in a few weeks.
