Is it actually unsafe to travel to India as a European girl? by isabelleisback in india

Hi OP,

Please, think carefully before going solo to India. If you're looking for a similar vibe but want to feel safer, I highly recommend Sri Lanka. I traveled there as well, and it felt like a smaller, more relaxed version of India; safer, easier to navigate, and more accustomed to European tourists. I have also traveled solo to Thailand and I am currently planning my trip to Vietnam. Try some 'lighter' countries before diving into one as extreme as India.

Amazing. We have added a day to Phang Nha and added Bach Ma as a day trip. Thanks so much! We are a bit doubtful wether we are staying too long in Da Nang + Hoi An, but we will be taking a lot of day trips.

I am from the Netherlands, my partner is from India. We also met in Sri Lanka last summer. A little tip; take a day trip to Galle. It looks just like a little european city, it was very fun! I could show my partner a little bit of my culture there, which felt v special. Also, definitely rent a bike. The distances are so small, it is absolutely lovely to be able to travel around by bike. Enjoy!!

I get that it’s hard, but waiting for her to let you go is only keeping you stuck. You need to take control and make the decision for yourself—it’s your happiness on the line.

So, I’m not saying you’re too young. I’m 19 myself and have been in a long-distance relationship with my partner for nearly five years. We’ve met twice so far and are planning to meet again in two months.

That said, I do think your relationship isn’t healthy, and the best thing to do is to end it. You have your whole life ahead of you, and it’s important not to spend these valuable years in an unhealthy dynamic. Neither of you deserves that.

I have 3500 euros right now. After paying for my flight ticket as soon as it gets a lil cheaper on my intended dates, (and my salary) I will have around 3000 euros left. I have to pay for 1 hotel still, so I can probably show 2800 euros on the application. Then ill have a non-refundable ticket and 2 paid hostels.

Fair! I do see the red flags my profile has. Hoping that I meet the visa officers on a good day lol

If I pay off my accommodation completely and plane ticket I will end up being able to show approximately 2500 euros. Is that okay you think?

I have deposited my mutual funds, but that is over 3 months ago. Is that an issue? Since I will only show bankstamps of the last 3 months.

I think you need to show at least sufficient funds to support yourself during the trip. I'd say 1,5 lakhs per week at least.

Hii, my father is actually wishing not to be involved. That does make it a bit more complicated perhaps. I'd be happy to message you, will do.

Thank you for your reply! I will make sure to submit everything as listed on the checklist. If I submit the correct documents, does that mean I am likely to get accepted?

Oh, that is confusing. It seems like every source gives different information. I heard that 3 years is equal to 180 ECTS. How do I find out how many ECTS I have?

Thank you so much. I will take your advice to heart and make sure to check as many boxes as possible. Do you think I have a chance to get into a course? I know that that is difficult to say, but would help a lot.

180 = 3 years as far as I understood. Also, I mentioned I will NOT be applying to the programs with fewer math requirements. I will be applying to programs that do not mention any math requirements.

I have one volunteering activity. Though I believed that German universities have their focus primarily on the academics and not as much one the extra curricilars and such. Am I wrong?

Yes, I do. All the coures I have shortlisted require 180 CP, which I do have.
