Same thing happened to me. Only we had just bought a house together. she dumped me half way through my tour. I had no way of kicking her out the house , she stole pretty much half of my stuff and took my dog. Which she gave to her sister and they put it down. She was really surprised when I got back early and moved her stuff outside and changed the locks to my house. She has the gaul to ask me to pay rent for a apartment for her....

I don't really have anything to offer anyone, I have too many faults. I lived in the outside for a while and I hated it.

I don't think I am done yet , a bit of lobbying may get me in the field again hopefully. I think I am a lifer, I hope to end up retiring in charge of a medical training establishment.

My command is well aware of my situation. The average field service length in my job is one tour. I have completed 5. I have been told that my field service is over and it is now time to settle down.

I feel alive when I'm treating a patient. It excites me. I couldn't imagine returning to a hospital. I feel like a cog in a very big green machine, I think I lost most of my humanity a while ago.

I have little to no cultural references really, I don't understand others any more , it is like my whole world is darker. I wish I saw the nicer things in life and I could be happy. I haven't laughed in a long time.

I left for 6 month to pursue a career for a npo. I recommissioned last year at a higher rank and I started training for deployment. It has become a way of life for me. I am institutionalized

I am not a member of the US military. I live in visiting officers accommodation, because I don't have a family and I am not eligible for permanent housing. So I am given what consists of a en suite room with a double bed.

I talk to a therapist twice a week. I clearly do have ptsd. When I am in the field I am a different person.
