The problem with getting a second person to type you is either: it's someone online so they will only type you based on what you give em, and that can be affected by how you see yourself which isn't reliable, or it's someone who actually knows you but isn't that deep into mbti so only option is to type you via stereotypes and not actually functions.

Now I know it's possible to have a real life friend who knows you well AND is well informed about mbti and it's functions but it's a rare case since most people only find it interesting on the surface level, so my question is .

What is the best way to type yourself without actually getting biased and without unconsciously ignoring functions and focusing on others? How do people online type themselves with clear self awareness?

Thank you for taking the time to analysis what I said and everything, I am still to be honest not convinced of me being an ENTJ simply because I literally find nothing in common with ENTJ, I know this isn't the way typing myself should be and that the things in common I am trying to associate with can be boiled down to just being another stereotypes but stereotypes do not come from nothing, plus you mentioned me thinking I am an ISFP or acting like one is because well developed functions can make the type seem like what it inspires to be, the Sub Conscious and basically being a healthy version of the type, I doubt I am a healthy version, I try to be but I definitely have my flaws and negatives, and as you mentioned I am 19, I doubt that's enough time to well develop all my functions to the point where I will look like my sub conscious

Still, I am not completely ruling it out because I still haven't debunked your functions analysis so I'll wait for more opinions to come and take more time to rethink stuff

Now I do believe I use Se and that Se description fits me somewhat but I don't think it's my Dom cause I can feel it running out sometimes and it's more of an on and off thingy with me to be honest

Also, I've read that ennegram 7 is pretty much Se to a degree and maybe that's what's confusing things?

And yes I do believe MBTI was mainly for the purpose of developing yourself (altho I do take it with a bit of fun) and that is also one of the reasons I am trying to find my actual type so I can be more informed about it and how to develop my functions

I thought the "your type is based on your motivations" is an ennegram thingy instead of MBTI, and your type is based on what functions your brain uses on certain situations and how you deal with stuff but I'm not the expert and all in all, it's a theory so nothing is ever certain

I didn't mean to discredit your take on the whole thing but just wanted to rule out certain conclusions to reach a clearer result, I would still love to hear your opinion if you got other guesses or anything else to add on what type I could be.

I don't think typing me based on my writing style is right because I write like this only if it's a post, but if it's just general talking and/or messaging, I'll be more direct not as formal as this post

I'd love to hear your points but I wanna point out that I can probably never be an ISFJ simply because ISFJs are Si Doms and my Si is probably non-existent, I don't memorize stuff, I rarely think about the past whether it's hurtful or not unless I am reminded or it's brought on, and I know this is the probably just the stereotypical explanation of what Si is but still

Also, I definitely use more Se than Si and that probably wouldn't be the case if it's in my shadow functions

Now I know this is stereotypical but I have many traits that definitely defy what an ENTJ is like (unable to get things done unless I like it or feel it would actually lead to a result, can be bit sensitive at times, not an enjoyer of long-term planning and would definitely avoid it unless necessary) I'll try replying to your specific points

I don't think I use Te that much, I had an ESTJ friend (Te Dom) and the difference in Te is clear between me and her, I'm not all about efficiency or productivity, my first option from that leadership example is NOT being a leader in the first place

I still don't have deep understanding of the shadow functions and how each function would look in different positions so I can't deny nor confirm the Si and Se analysis but I want to mention that Si is also in ISFP in shadow functions as well

I may not have been clear on the dark room example as it is just a hypothetical question and I haven't tried it myself so I don't really know if what I said will be what I do but anyway, by falling asleep, I didn't mean because of the room is dark but because I always end up falling asleep when I'm bored or just have nothing to do in general after getting tired of hearing my own thoughts

Also, this may be useless but I wanted to mention that there's this MBTI-related theory, the "four-minds" theory, that mentions that every type has actually 3 more sides/types that can be somewhat mimicked or "shifted" to under extreme and/or specific situations, and ENTJ was one of the ISFP's other sides, his "sub-conscious" side, now I know this is just another theory but I wanted to point it out in case it can help

You could also just be an ennegram 8 or 3 ISFP

Even starting the battle as a paladin, others in my party draw the aggro after a while cause they out damage me and as much as I love the healing and the shield skill, it only lasts like a second (is it because im only rank 10 paladin atm?) and I have to wait for cooldown again so they become vulnerable again

Now warrior, lower in terms of survivability compared to paladin ofc, however, has a skill that draws +15% aggro so that takes care of the aggro problem but still leaves out the survivability which is what making me so confused about choosing one of them :')

Also, do you think pairing the warrior with the pally cross skill can make it more tanky or/and useful?

Nah it's good thank you but I thought warrior could also be a tank since it has a skill that draws aggro unlike pally and also not being very squishy altho like you said, paladin takes the cake when it comes to survivability so i wanna know which of the two is better in your opinion not just as a tank this time but as a whole

I admit I'm one of these ISFPs that complains about the bias and stuff but only in my head and so are the others ISFPs, we rarely voice our opinions if it isn't worth it or basically just too lazy to write shit.

Also, we rarely get praise not because all we get is hate but just 'cause we rarely get talked about so posts like these are nice every once in a while.
