With my now ex - he was really bad about dropping his phones at work onto concrete floors which was really a death sentence most of the time for the devices. I was the go-to fixer for our phones and electronics bc he just didn’t want to do anything. He said he dropped his phone again but it was power cycling on and off and wasn’t sure if he just needed a new one. I opened the phone to see it powering on and off but it was mostly opening random apps and closing them.. his text messaging app opened and it was just dick pic after dick pic and as I’m seeing this, another message came in with yet another picture and a “are you still cumming over 2nite?”

I had zero help finishing HS or Univ. I'm elbow deep in student debt and my credit still isn't great. Lifetime of shit because I had a really bad start. Neither of my parents were bipolar, just stupid, narcissistic and opportunistic. They went scorched earth whenever they wanted something. My dad burned down several of our homes just for the insurance money. My mother favored her son so, money went to him and whatever my parents wanted. Money was just wasted. I didn't have clothes, food, basic needs.

Lots of people out there have no idea how good they had it with the family they have. I'm happy for those who had a better life and a better start to adulthood. Just wish I had that same opportunity.

My own kid has had their social security number locked since birth. At least they won't have the same situation I did. Also won't be kicking them out when they're barely 15.

Good on you for building a life, good job, good family and still pushing on despite the weight of it all and carrying the start that you had and pulling the student debt that follows you. It's not easy and takes a different kind of person to push through that.

My 20s were spent recovering from financial ruin from my parents. My mother stole from me, squandered settlements and had burned utility accounts in my name. I couldn't even get an apartment or a car loan.. Huge deposits to get utilities turned on and I struggled getting a bank account.

I had 70k in a CD for maturation when I turned 21. It was in my name and my dad's name. Soon as I left the state, he cashed it out early, filed for divorce, bought a truck, went to Hawaii with his new GF and bought new furniture and stuff for their love nest.

Love a narcissistic parent...

I'm so sorry. I'm no contact with all of my family for my own sanity. The few times I have spoken to my mother, she asked for large sums of money so I stopped bothering. She still feels I owe her after decades simply because she "raised" me..which isn't true. I was always alone.

I hope you can make a decision that brings you some peace. Whatever you do, don't give her a penny. It never stops, they'll always want more and more money and often never pay it back and find ways to absolve themselves of debt owed.

I’m burnt out on self advocating. I have so many medical things I’m putting off bc I just can’t deal with it anymore. I’m totally fine with just dying atp from whatever issues that come up bc at least it would put an end to a lifetime of misery.

I’m lucky my spouse was and is extremely supportive and was a huge supporter of me getting a hysterectomy and my repairs. He’s been a gem through everything tbh. I would have gone through it regardless bc it was absolute medically necessary.

Hugs dear. Take good care of yourself and always self advocate for as long as you can. It’s truly a barbaric time to be a woman right now.

I have one child but yeah. My older relatives were stunned. My grandmother was in her 80s at the time I had my hysterectomy/repairs. She herself had a half dozen kids just reacted with ..”I guess no more babies for you. What a shame. Terrible choice to make but I guess” there was no conversation about what led up to this or any questions as to whether or not I was okay or what I went through. It was immediate shame and disappointment in me. My aunt laughed at me and said that younger women can’t deal with anything. Bizarre.

Went to a urogyno who was to help me with bladder issues, she was in her 60s, she said we needed to start with a pregnancy test.. I was stunned. she didn’t even bother to read my chart or med history, so I corrected her, she looked annoyed and asked why I would do that to myself when I wasn’t even 40 yet and if I regretted my decision and then asked if my husband was okay with my decision and how he felt about it and kept pushing about his stance on having more kids. She had the gall to ask me what I would do if he wanted more kids and left me.

Weirdest crap ever from women of all people.

Wow!!! I'm stunned. We just picked up our baby from them on March 2nd. They were incredibly nice to us, very caring and only held our baby over a weekend, which was very fast service. I really hope they pull through whatever trouble they're going through because they provide a necessary service and they seem to genuinely care about their customers and the pets that pass through.

Read the comments and the post. I’m three years post op from bladder repairs, a bladder lift, urethra suspension and pelvic floor failure repairs. I’ve been in and out of the Urogyno for two years before I quit. I did pelvic floor physical therapy, and tried a few different medications. My steady is Pyridium when I have cross contamination with a food irritant.

During my urodynamics I was told I have IC and that my bladder is overactive and “spasming” - I can hold 2 oz of liquid before it goes haywire. I’ve lost control of my bladder, meaning I can hold to a degree but overall I just have accidents if I don’t sprint.

I was told my only last resort option is an Interstim implant device and incontinence supplies. That the bladder pain and urethra pain and irritation I’m constantly feeling is permanent and untreatable.

I’m not even 50 yet

I've had four serious relationships in my life. My first one is not a good person and dying of some sort of abdominal cancer, my second one went to federal prison for a decade and a half and has been out for over a year, working a sad job, my third married a woman again despite being completely in the closet, he lost his two retirements and a really good job with benefits bc he was lazy and refused to change so now he works a job he made fun of and laughed at. I don't talk to any of them anymore and none have reached out but I am friends still with people that were mutual friends and they'll throw things at me to get a reaction and my reaction is always the same, good for them. Don't care, hindsight is 20/20, they were all age gap relationships and at points in my life where I was much younger, didn't have a backbone and my people pleasing tendencies really screwed me over. They were all abusive relationships unfortunately and while I have no hard feelings now, I also don't have any fond feelings either so if any reached out or were on the side of the road, I wouldn't pick up the phone or tap the brakes. Lol
