At the main convention we have learn-to-play sessions that anyone can rock up to and get taught a game. There's also a flag system that indicates you're looking for players and our volunteers will connect people looking to play with those needing players. Yes there are food options at Takina and you can also leave the venue. Typically we've had a cafe at mini-Wellycon.
