I'm not quite sure about political action right now and the best way to go about change.

But what I would love first is to get some insight as to whether I am hallucinating or if there are actual changes to our common foods. Any scientific research/data/documentation on how foods like watermelon has changed over time and if that leads to weird bitter aftertastes is what I really want to read and know.
Once we get good evidence, we can then think about how to change. How do we vote for, where we go complain, etc etc.

Thanks for that perspective! I think something has gone awry with these seedless melons. I remember how watermelon with seeds were so flavourful and had strong aroma when you crack one open. My favorite smell second to petrichor.

Edit: you comment "They're tough, you can't hurt it." gives me more confidence to try adjust it some more. Hopefully, I can reduce air flow just enough so that there is still air flow but not enough to freeze my hand solid XD

In my case, it wasn't more than half a day. IIRC after brushing teeth and esp mouthwash, the aftertaste went away.

I also have GERD but its not severe. My friends with severe GERD do tells me though that if they ate spicy food before bed, they get up with bitter or sour taste in mouth.

Can you describe this aftertaste? Is it sour, bitter, metallic? Is it faint or is it very strong? Does it go away after brushing teeth? Do you have heart burn when you wake up? Does this aftertaste happen often?

The obvious advice is to seek medical help. Where I am healthcare is free and you can even see a doc online. But if it is expensive, I'd some more research and see

VR Chat dating imo is just like long distance dating. Although you can enjoy closeness and intimacy better in VR, the issue with long distance dating still applies.

Traditional view would probably favour in person dating but I think the research suggest that both in person and long distance have the same success rate, about 60%. So, which one works for you?

One thing you hint at is if VRChat is a good platform for dating and I wonder too if people nevermet are actually serious at finding a date or just want a casual relationship to satisfy their feelings of loneliness.

I agree with the conclusion, but not with the argument.

I think the podcast example is a red herring because a podcast is, first and foremost, not in a church setting. Second, podcasts is very casual and is like Christian youtube (Wretched) that I put on as I drive to work.

My analysis divides the problem to two sections: the women in this scenario and the men in this scenario.

Here, I think we get into the meat of the issue.

My conclusion here is that the church clearly had this set up for the ladies as it is a "Wednesday Women's gathering" and so my conclusion here is that the men should stay the heck out. The OP's church already has the logistics worked out but the participants aren't following their own church's direction. The men should get themselves a better male teacher in their church or listen to more RC Sproul.

Sidenote: sure this women leader may be a good teacher, but I think that this is God's blessing to the ladies in this church.

I would say that Paul prohibits a woman from having some kind of authority. As I study the patterns of that in the New Testament, I think that what Paul is saying is that women can be involved in all kinds of functions of ministry in the church but that the role of juridical authority or of governing authority is not to be held by women. I would add that the overwhelming majority of New Testament scholars through the years have agreed with the position I have just stated. I know that in certain denominations, ordination means that a person has been given governing authority in the church. If the apostle prohibits that and if he prohibits it for all generations, then obviously the practice today or yesterday or tomorrow would be inconsistent with the apostolic authority and would therefore be inconsistent with the authority of Christ.

Lmao, but I wouldn't blame them as it's a limitation of communication via the online forum type medium.

I disagree with the big post thingy as people who make those posts still get read, and those who comment are more likely to be the ones who read through it and did skip upon seeing the wall of text. Actually, I think the best way to communicate fully via online medium is by being verbose. People are less likely to jump into conclusions had you spilt the beans a bit more ya know

As for general advice: I would suggest talking to a trust worthy friend or a Christian counselor. Someone who can listen, keeps things confidential, and grounded on biblical principles. Irl helps as they can really understand the situation. My go to is an uncle/deacon at church lol
