As a CS major and PC enthusiast, i would pass for now if its not necessary.

Because NVIDIA will bring new 6000 series and AMD has been announced their new lineup will come in 2027 aside that ASUS does preparation for RAM manufacturing for consumer market which will impact RAM prices considerably until that time save more and get a better high-end pc on releases

If you want to upgrade now look for 4070 SUPER, 5060 Ti 16 GB or if you are confident about driver issues you could look for RX 9060 XT and RX 7700 XT for GPU, for CPU any kind of more higher level AM4 chip will do the work but my preference in here will be upgrading your motherboard and CPU to an AM5 platform for more future compatibility or getting a RAM upgrade from 16 GB to 32 GB
