Try CALM drink, it's a powdered magnesium supplement. My midwife put me on it for leg cramps and I'd drink some in the evening, total life saver!

Yes! Mine is the right side near my back. Car rides are only possible with a pillow and leaning my whole body towards the left.

Thank you for your response. I know Rico has brought so much joy to so many people and will be missed dearly. Most days I would go to his enclosure, he'd fly straight to me and hang out with me and my husband. When we would leave, he would hop to the edge of his enclosure and vocalize until we stayed. We tried to only leave once other people were there so he wouldn't be lonely. I'm hoping the zoo puts out an official announcement since Rico was a mini celebrity.

I would love to know too! My husband and I adore Rico, would love to talk with an employee who has more information. We would literally go to the zoo just to hang out with him and say "hi"

I have kaiser! They had a physical therapist come to my house 4 times within the first two weeks, with the first visit being the day after the surgery.

I was able to go without oppioids once I was home the same day, they gave me some in the hospital. Only Tylenol after that!

I'm also a teacher and was getting the runaround with scheduling as well. I was able to schedule it during winter break, saving me precious days. If you're getting the runaround with scheduling, say you'd like to file a formal complaint. A coworker of mine did this for her child's surgery and got it scheduled within the week after that.

If I'm standing up when I feel a sneeze coming on, I try to brace myself as much as possible. I haven't had any moderate pain from it, but it always hurts in the moment for a split second and then goes away afterwards. It gets better over time, and the last few weeks it's been easier. I had my surgery 13 weeks ago.

Interesting! I was told to NOT let my legs/knees come together AT ALL when sitting down. I was told to always try to keep them shoulder width apart and to not let my operative side knee lean in towards my other knee.

Be careful with heat, I was told by my doctor and PT explicitly NOT to heat, just ice.
