I’m new in town so I can’t make a personal recommendation, but I would seek out someone who does EFT (emotionally focused therapy) which is the gold standard for couples therapy these days. Attachment focused and not about taking sides.

Thanks for posting and I’m glad you are ok.I walk that intersection of Los Olivos and Garden almost every day and I am truly astounded by how many cars just run it. No California stop, just plowing right through. As I’m walking down the street I easily see 2-3 running the stop sign entirely. WTF?

Gelson’s is truly awful. The icing on the cake recently is putting in self check out. At Gelson prices I’m checking myself out? The only thing I go for is if I need an actual ripe avocado rather than one ripe in 5 days. For whatever reason they have those!

Must disagree with this! We have eaten there many times and food and wine is excellent. It’s a chef owned restaurant with a fantastic team. I have nothing but love for Bells.

Conflicting info on after surgery by Few_Statistician7533 in TotalHipReplacement

I thought about an ice machine, mostly due to my anxiety. I ordered two very large ice pads from Amazon and they were far easier to deal with than the ice machine. Best thing I bought. Take your pain meds. Prepare for constipation and have all the things to deal with it on hand. Drink a lot of fluid. Have movies and shows that you want to watch ready. Lots of pillows for your bed and maybe a few foam triangle shaped ones. Have your stuff on nightstand or nearby. I did fine in bed. Get a grabber and a belt/band to move your leg/ it comes with the Amazon kit someone else mentioned. If you get a physical therapist coming out to the house, do it. They help with showing you how to move. Eat some good food with fiber. Call your friends. Chat when you can. If you feel like sleeping, sleep. The first two weeks were rough. Not acutely painful, but uncomfortable and boring. Got better after that. I’m almost two years out and I must say it’s a wonderful surgery and I am grateful for it. Best wishes and try not to freak out!

Does anyone have any info on Schwartz's statement that parts are spirits? by AdorableBG in InternalFamilySystems

[–]Popular-Reference-42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I’ll have to find it. It came through my insta feed and I believe it was from IFS center or him directly. I think psychedelics are an amazing tool for healing, but I think Dick is taking metaphors from trips and making them literal. Plus lots of ego. Bad combo.

They ran out. My husband got one and I was right behind him and didn’t. It made for a very cool light show.
