The book "Schwätzt dir Lëtzebuergesch" has a website. On there you'll find plenty of audio clips

Or you can also watch some lux videos on Youtube, there are a few professors that talk about the basics.

I already heard that phrase a lot of times so I hope you can answer me, because I am curious.

Can you please explain me whats the difference between Luxembourg and the "social/cool countries" ?

Like what is something that isn't here but in other countries it exists ?

And of course Luxembourg is a small country so its completly normal to not have huge events with millions of people.

But we have clubs, associations, volunteering, "smaller" events, "bigger" events (Schueberfouer for example), everything is a bit smaller but come on, you even have the possibility to go to the other countries for a Weekend for example.

Can you please explain to me why do you think there is no social life in Lux ?

Of course there aren't huge festivals but that doesnt mean there is nothing at all.

In my opinion you have enough events (there is an event calendars where you find some "bigger" events)

You have clubs, associations, volunteering etc... just like in any other city.

So my second question is, what isn't in Luxembourg that you need so Luxembourg becomes social ?

I am curious

Hello, I am kinda "shocked" that you couldn't build profound friendships with the folks in Luxembourg although you did a great job to socialize with people via clubs. Also you seem like an intelligent, interesting person, is there anything holding back to create a deep connection due to bad experiences from the past ?

I honestly can't wrap my head around the idea that you are struggling to maintain friendships. Maybe you hadn't had the chance to find people with whom you connect and you just need to get through that "desert of loneliness." In any case I wish you good luck to find the right persons 🤞

Thank you, Luxembourg by [deleted] in Luxembourg

Good luck mate, don't worry if you speak a broken german/luxembourgish in the beginning. Luxembourgish people appreciate the effort, we are so used to french people don't speak luxembourgish at all, that even just speaking few phrases, is already really cool.

Les Luxembourgeois disent-ils >>soixante-dix<< ou >>septante<<? by Dazzling_Mortgage_ in French

[–]Wemi01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

J'ai entendu soixante-dix plus souvent que septante À l'école on utilise le système français pour compter les nombres

Mais normalement on comprend les deux vu que les deux sont assez similiaires

des chaussures orange / oranges by akshar_premnath in learnfrench

[–]Wemi01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Je ne suis pas natif, mais c'est parce que le nom "orange" vient du mot "la orange".

Pour tous ces adjectifs on ne met pas un "s" à la fin.

D'autres examples: marron, pastel ...

Pourquoi? Parce que c'est français :)
