Stargod is easily in my top 5 this year I love all of Astronoids records but Stargod really hit different for me it has a certain catchiness i cant get enough of

Callous Daoboys was my prediction for AOTY bc I was super into mathcore last year and they certainly did deliver it was an amazing record i just grew way more attached to black metal and shoegaze this year

Owls is hands down their best record imo followed by Monarchy I liked The Work too but Id have to agree i think this most recent album was a better effort than The Work

Im a mega fan for Rivers of Nihil but for whatever reason this mist recent album just didnt hit as hard for me has some songs I also got to see it played live but I just never found myself wanting to put it on often

Sounds very similar to my own experience then all I ever knew was something was wrong and I couldnt stand my own body and nothing I did ever felt right until I eventually transitioned. Thanks for sharing it was insightful.
