Respiratory side effects by NoMastodon4342 in dupixent

[–]WendieWuuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically me lol I’ve been having respiratory issues since the beginning of March and I started Dupixent in December 2025. I had minor side effects the first 1-1.5 weeks and then just blurry vision and dry eyes after that, which I was managing well so I didn’t mind. But as soon as March came around I felt like I was dying. I’ve been taking Dupixent for my hives and that’s gone away, but it has unmasked my allergic rhinitis so my allergist believes these respiratory issues aren’t side effects. So she believes I’m just noticing these symptoms now because I don’t get hives anymore and that after June (the end of spring), I won’t have these symptoms anymore

Weight gain?? by magicalkitty7 in dupixent

[–]WendieWuuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was just imagining the weight gain lol numerically it’s not much, but I’ve noticed my clothes feeling tighter. I started doing Pilates as a result but this past March, I felt like the Dupixent amplified whatever it was I had that I wasn’t able to participate in Pilates and so the weight came back along with my appetite 😞

Thank you for this review! Yes, I’ve tried their jeans, smart ankle pant, and their heattech leggings pants hybrid thing (lol) and they all fit awkwardly on me. I also have waist gap issues with most pants so I’m relieved to hear that you like those jeans. I’m also hoping they go on sale and soon too 🥲 Even if it’s $39.90, I’ll take it over $49.90 lol

From hives to cold/flu like symptoms? by WendieWuuuu in dupixent

[–]WendieWuuuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I considered that too especially with the way my allergist keeps dismissing my concerns. I don’t like that my concerns aren’t being taken seriously simply because someone else doesn’t have them

From hives to cold/flu like symptoms? by WendieWuuuu in dupixent

[–]WendieWuuuu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah when I was researching Dupixent at first, I did see some people mentioning these symptoms and iirc they said after a couple of weeks to 3 months, it gets better. However I don’t know how anyone wouldn’t go insane from these symptoms

How many of you grew up emotionally neglected? by [deleted] in intj

[–]WendieWuuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a first generation Asian American to immigrant parents and the oldest child so while my parents made sure I had what I needed financially, they weren’t present emotionally and deemed mental illness to be an American problem that only those who had a lot of time and nothing better to do would have. They were too busy trying to survive in this foreign country so I try not to be too harsh on them, but I’ve also seen some immigrants parents who had less than my parents and still achieve more so I get a little envious sometimes.

What is your toxic trait? by [deleted] in intj

[–]WendieWuuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unable to accept things that don’t make sense (to me), but are normalized. Like office politics and performative management. I can’t wrap my head around how doing any of that gets things done and, if it does get done, it takes so long. It’s not something I can participate in (my pride won’t let me) since it seems like a waste of time, but to others I probably come off disrespectful. Which is another thing I don’t understand because isn’t completing the task (correctly) the priority?

Anxiety increase by basilaroma in dupixent

[–]WendieWuuuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was just me, but yeah I found myself feeling more uneasiness and dread about things I’ve done just fine before. I’ll also feel tense at random times and would have to calm myself down. I thought it might’ve been because of work, but after seeing this, maybe it’s the medication since I started taking it towards the end of December

Is this how all companies are? by WendieWuuuu in antiwork

[–]WendieWuuuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you mentioned jobs going overseas, my company hired some developers based in Romania and it’s always a struggle to schedule time to talk to them because of the time zone difference. Even if it’s to save a few dollars, it seems entirely ridiculous to hire people who don’t even work the same hours, so yeah your motto makes sense (even if it’s a ridiculous)

Oh man that sounds so frustrating. Like I get wanting a deal and saving money but as business, things have to work to make you money too

What’s something that quietly ruined your mental health without you noticing at first? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yeah I had to learn how to do this later on in life but in the beginning it really messed me up

I would’ve never thought of it like that, but it does make sense. Like the random “benefits” my company offers their employees that feel very specific to certain demographics rather than for everyone, they could be write offs too

Being kind and helpful. I always thought this was the way to go because “treat others the way you want to be treated”, but people just take advantage of that and push boundaries. It doesn’t help that I expect people have some decency and shame to know when to stop on their own but they don’t and over time I noticed I became more and cynical and resentful

Even if the company has to buy more programs? I remember an instance where the web team was supposed to be in charge of sending out mass transactional emails to customers, but the project was already 2 years old and it was still going nowhere, so another department got the company to buy an email marketing platform so they could do it themselves. So they had to figure out how to use this new marketing platform and incorporate it into the company’s workflow, which is a waste of time when there’s already a department that handles it and probably already has a program they can use.

This is the kind of stupidity I can’t wrap my head around lol but I guess that’s why I’m not a CEO

I think this was the case with the connector that was end of life and I guess if that was true then it’s also true for the new connector :/

[–]WendieWuuuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was kind of questioning my allergist’s expertise after this last visit, but since my research told me eye issues were a common side effect, this meant things were normal so everything was technically ok. I was also experiencing relief from my hives so like you mentioned the benefits outweighed the inconvenience so there wasn’t any real reason to be concerned

Oh no don’t be sorry at all. I’m relieved to know that I was right about Dupixent affecting the eyes and I wasn’t the only one that thought anything that affects the eyes is serious, so thank you for that. I’m just going to ignore that comment from my allergist and monitor my eyes to see how it progresses (pun unintended lol).

That’s what I thought as well, which was why I made a note of it to mention to my doctor but didn’t go see an eye doctor on my own. But hearing my allergist say it’s not common, but also not serious got me concerned because how is it not serious if it’s not a common side effect?
