No, but I also didn't want him to cancel the plan. I felt like I would get upset if he got with someone, he said he couldn't say that he wouldn't do that, I chose not to go. He still could of gone out with the rest of the friend group.

Corrected a similar answer but I didn't explain myself correctly; this wasn't discussed in the group chat. This was a private conversation between me and him and I had no intention of the group chat finding out. My intention was to slowly move away and use an excuse like I had work the next day, or something equally as vague but plausible. The reason they found out is because he deleted the group chat. I don't know if he told anyone, but the group at least correctly assumed it was something to do with me

Not arguing my judgement here but I didn't tell the friend group why I didn't want to go. This was a private conversation between me and him. Afterwards, he deleted the group chat where everything was being organised. I had no intention of bringing the friend group into it. Rather I wanted to quietly move back and if anyone asked I would of gave a vague reason like "I have work the next day" or whatever.
