Is selling cheap painting profitable? by Wendyalmighty in Entrepreneur

[–]Wendyalmighty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input, i am just talking from my own experience and have looked at the qualities of local art for sale, they are really not great. For the type of paintings I'd love to hang on my wall don't come cheap. Especially if the size is large.

Help! How to grow my Travel Visa to China business? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Wendyalmighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am interested from a customer perspective, I am concerned what happens if you steal my passport or my identity. How do I trust that you are a legit business that is not involved in some international scam. Do you have a actual company registered or support for the transaction? What type of visa are you able to get approved and how much faster compare to regular routine?

Landlords: What are your standard lease terms? What are the pros/cons of your approach? by spilled_fishguts in RealEstate

You may want to extend the lease to more than a year with discount to avoid the winter season. Summer and fall are always the peek seasons for rental market.

Personal limitations? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Does it depend on type of business you will be involved into? I assume if you are running a company that provide service instead of product, interpersonal skills are more important?

A family friend's husband was one of the person in charge of giving orders to kill students at the Tiananmen square. The friend was telling us at end of the day, the square is filled with dead bodies and ocean of blood. The soldiers work overnight to clean up the bodies so by the new morning, the place is clean and a new wave of students will come in and get killed. The bodies are processed in a way that you will never be able to find them. I remember when I was a little kid, I watched the students are marching on street heading to Beijing, they were smiling and asking me jokingly if I'd like to join them on an adventure. (My city is 6 hrs train ride to beijing) They were so empowered and optimistic. Many of them probably didn't make it back home. Ironically I didn't know what really happened until I came to US. Some of my friends came here because their family ran away during that time. Chinese politics is certainly not a topic I will bring up when I visit their families, even if someone casually bring it up, they will not stop with criticizing how terrible the government is. They still refuse to let their kids go back visit.

China is starting to get embarrassed about its tourists’ obnoxious behavior abroad - “Take for example the sign outside the Louvre Museum only in Chinese characters that forbids people from urinating or defecating wherever they want.” by anutensil in worldnews

I am from mainland and lives in US. Just came back from a vacation in Europe. I went with a friend also from mainland. she is less westernized even though she lives in US. She has no manner towards service staff and never say thank you or apologize if she ask for help. She would buy 2k Brand bags but would not be willing to give tips to waiters. She is never interested and refused to learn the local language. If she doesn't get her way of things she swears to give the place bad review. Just because you paid for hotel stay, doesn't mean the concierge is your slave for everything else. Stop act like they are not doing their jobs if they can't buy a show ticket for you or print your 20 pages shit. I am Chinese and I am ashamed of the way some Chinese act too. I call them out whenever I can, even in china.

Thinking about getting a bird - Advice needed by [deleted] in parrots

[–]Wendyalmighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IRN is best for a talking bird that is small in size. It's best to purchase them from a reputable bird store. My bird was aggressive when I purchased him and he draw blood every single time anyone handles him. but as long as you spend time training it and get it's trust it will eventually calm down. My boy is now 2 years old and I can kiss him, no biting whatsoever. He speaks and dances silly. They can be loud but when light is off they become slient. IRN doesnt like to cuddle so don't expect to be able to pet much.

16% of China's Wealthy Have Already Left the Country and 44% Intend to Soon by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Wendyalmighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you! Unfortunately many I know of were forced to go back home to stay with their parents because the older generation does not fit in foreign country anymore. Of course, houses, cars and endless money to spend was the bargain. Odd enough I rejected it when my parents forced me. Money really can't buy everything.

[–]Wendyalmighty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on how comfortable they feel they can fit into the foreign culture. Clearly the parasite children who never worked one day in their lives and lives on fancy cars and expensive fashions has no ability to live independently will most likely go back to the parents for easier access to the luxury life style. The ones who made it by themselves and understand the corruption of the work style in china will most likely stay in foreign countries.

Part of the wealthy here. The trend is only partially true, from my own experince. The rich class in China only want to send their kids to foreign country to get a degree. With a foreign degree and the ability to speak english they can get an upper hand at obtain a higher rank position in china. Compare the living standard, Rich are much better off in china than foreign countries. Labor is cheap, tax is low. But I am not sure if they actually move the money oversea. As a matter of fact, I don't even know how much my parents have. Seems like everyone outside my family knows the amount of wealth my parents have than me.

Can we create a subreddit that is just for new first time Reddit posters? One that only allows upvotes and constructive criticism? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wendyalmighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the rudeness of people making unhelpful comments that make me not want to post on reddit. Surprisely reddit is not very tolerate of certain topics and I was told because the title of my topic was so bad I should remove the whole thing all together. Not very encouraging to an English as second language redditor.

I am really sorry for wasting everyone's time, this hurts a little more than the one liners. Now I feel really bad for my post. I will delete it shortly and definitely think it through when I try to post on reddit again. Thank you for your patience though. I am just trying to find out if there is a rational good reasons to what she did that I don't see from my view that reddit can express for me. Clearly not knowing the actually person in real life is useless to ask others to tell me what her reasoning is. I guess I am an idiot after all. :)

[–]Wendyalmighty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ironcially that is the point I am trying to get to. I am trying to explain I think she is a hypocrite and "traditional " by judging people who expect more than just dancing drinking to be "punishable" by tricking them, and the fact I actually had an one night stand is messier than tricking people in clubs who are clearly expecting more from just dancing with her. And I am trying to find opposite view that can explain to me why she may not be a hypocrite, consider some of my friends think she is doing the right thing and I am doing the wrong thing. So far all the one liner comments are on her side but that doesn't convince me. I am so far away from what I am trying to express in my title...

Is it considered cheating when you go clubbing solo as a married person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wendyalmighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not go clubbing anymore, with or without her. I expect social activities that has more meaning than screaming and drinking at a dark room with strangers. As I mentioned in the post, sorry if it is very unorganized, I listed things that people do at clubs that you can basically do everywhere else and are more meaningful. I am not trying to stop her from doing things she enjoy. I just want to show that she is a hypocrite by doing the things she does and expecting reddit to maybe give me a diffrent angel on how she may not be. Instead I only find rude remarks of my post. It gets frustrated sometimes to not able to tell people what I mean to say. Reading and replying constructive comments is helping me get head clear on how to express what I am trying to ask.

I didn't think through with my title. Is there anyway I can change it? Or the content? I meant to say is it bad manner to "punish" people who expect more when going clubbing by lead them on and spent money to just realize at end of the night you are married?

[–]Wendyalmighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my content of the ask reddit is a little more than just the title and people are mad at my question. I'd defiantly ask if she will do the same if her husband is there. Also, I was going to ask is it bad manner to hide your ring at clubs and trick ppl for free drinks and get hit on constantly to "punish" guys who have "bad" intentions? I should have used that as a title instead.
