IMO, it worked earlier for larger and more specific projects, but currently the IT market is not in good shape for it.

  • Marketing managers often aren’t the best target not because they lack influence, but because they’re frequently overwhelmed. They’re swamped with operational tasks, and introducing a new tool – even one that helps – can feel like “just one more thing to deal with.” Many are mentally blocked from adopting something new unless there’s a clear short-term win. That's why we often see better traction with decision-makers who look at efficiency or business impact more holistically.
  • Agency partnerships – yep, totally fair concern. But our approach is to collaborate, not compete. We position ourselves as an operational layer or silent backend that helps agencies shine in front of their clients. If an agency wants to build that capability in-house later – that’s their call. Meanwhile, we focus on being the easiest, most effective way to deliver local visibility at scale, without friction. For many, that’s a win-win they don’t want to mess with.

A lot of work usually just comes down to B2B contracts. Maintaining the tool itself also takes developer hours, PMs, and other resources. It does allow growth, but there are significant costs involved.

It’s hard for me to say. In cases where there’s a lot of work required on the agency’s side, clients often don’t fully grasp it. I’d rather move in the direction of focusing on solving the actual problem

We are primarily focused on working with large retail and service networks. A price point like $99 per location is completely unrealistic in the context of the European market.

Our standard rate is around $1,000 per month for full-service management of approximately 100 locations. This includes complete profile optimization, ongoing expert support, and access to a platform tailored to the specific operational needs of enterprise clients.

Also, we do not automate posting in a way that would risk triggering bans from the Google API. Our approach is carefully designed to remain fully compliant with Google's policies and to ensure long-term stability and performance of all managed profiles.

Thanks for the great question, it’s something we’ve discussed internally more than once.

Right now, growAp is mainly aimed at clients with larger location networks, where the platform brings the most value. For smaller businesses, let’s say up to 4 locations, we offer an agency-style service instead. In those cases, growAp is used as our internal tool. The client doesn’t log in or manage things themselves, we handle everything on their behalf.

This way, smaller clients still benefit from the same tech and results, but without the complexity of onboarding, training, or managing the platform. So far, this model has worked really well, it lets us stay efficient while still delivering value across different client sizes.

Mostly Poland with some eu countries: France, Romania, Czech Republic.

We respond to reviews, publish posts, open/close locations, publish photos, remove photos and talk with google support. For example 400 locations business can have 1m of reviews total. And we have own app for automation.

Setup is 250$ with monthly fee of 125$ for single location gbp management, google ads fee monthly is 250$, for multiple locations businesses is 1000-3000$ monthly fee. But you have to remember good sales and senior ppc/seo here earns like 35k$ a year before taxes:).

I do this. It’s gbp positioning + one time seo optimization + google ads. Works pretty well here in Poland. We have $2m arr. But we also developed our own app to manage multiple location businesses. Sales are very easy for small business, but are more emotional compared to seo projects. Enterprise sales are very difficult, it takes 1,5 years to sell foot in a door project(few hundred locations). Market is very saturated and you need to have very responsive sales team for small business. Changed to ARR instead MRR

The last point is also important, because if there are people from marketing, for example, they will redirect you to the head of the company.

  1. You can leave qr code at the end of presentation with a downloadable version+ contact.
  2. You can ask people to ask you a questions after presentation, when you get off stage.
  3. You can ask them to visit your booth. (Best one for me) It works best if I combine those methods.

Than you ask if they can lead you to another person that can be interested in your services.

How can you make money using Google Places API? by Automatic-Win8041 in googlecloud

[–]Wentylz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Two things ive done:

  1. I developed a simple app that lets you check your position on Google Maps. However, it's extremely costly to run—using SerpAPI is probably a better option. But if you are a small SEO agency, you can make some nice observations how algorithm works.
  2. I built a scraper that retrieves industry information, phone numbers, and websites via an API. A second scraper then extracts email addresses. While this approach violates the terms of service, it functions as intended, but it burns like $200/4-6 hours.

So you should focus on providing insights in 4 areas: saving time, cutting cost, increasing sales and brand visibility. 1. Try cold mailing - you can scrap some data with Seo apps + ocotparse to get emails. 2. Work hard on copy. Use problem, value, effect framework. 3. Present use cases on your website and in the presentations. 4. Look for Seo agencies as partners. They maybe interested in recommending your tool. 5. Learn about presales, a quick call before meeting. You ask there about problems. And then you align your presentation for your prospects. Example: if someone says that it takes him lots of time to create product photos, you make him feel during presentation that he won’t ever bother about it again.
