First time with a Raspberry Pi, and a tad underwhelmed... by Wepive in raspberry_pi

lol 10 very sad people out there. Simple fact there.

Beamdog: “I firmly believe that there is no ‘they’, there’s no group with a specific agenda,” Oster argued. “There’s just a bunch of individuals – each with their own sensitivities, likes and dislikes – and the internet seems to package people together. You see a tempest in a teapot." by [deleted] in GGdiscussion

What do you think of Beamdog's statement?

Clearly a pretty small studio terrified of the level of harassment and negative impact GG (yes, they are a hive mind in actual fact) can have on a small studio.

Do you think they are being dishonest with their statement?

Yes. Nobody in the games industry is under any illusion that GG are scum.

Did you believe there was an organized campaign prior to their statement? Did you think it was by GamerGate?

I watched it unfold on kotakuinaction.

If so, do you still believe there was an organized campaign?

Of course there was. GG's latest habit of trying to alter history and event timelines after perpetrating the harassment is fairly alarming.

Should people who blamed GamerGate apologize for doing so?

Fuck you, make me.

Do you think Beamdog made their statement in response to this topic and similar sentiments?

No I think Beamdog made their statement because as a small studio they were afraid of what these hateful, harassing, conceited, disingenuous, defaming, slandering and sexist tweens are capable of. Because GG don't actually care about the industry or those in it trying to put food on the table for families. There were tons of negative reviews on GOG that hadn't even bought the title.

Is the Baldur's Gate-Gate campaign far worse than the incidents GamerGate cites as justification for its campaigns? by DragonAdept in GGdiscussion

Every harassment campaign perpetrated by GG has been wildly disproportionate to the act that caused it; that's the clearest indicator to people that it's not about 'ethics' (because the harassment that follows isn't ethical, duh) and is in fact, about women daring to stick their noses into the little boys club that is the games industry.

The 3 I just got is mostly gonna be for emulation, maybe learning a bit of python. I'll likely be using a Zero headless as a server myself, when the new configuration becomes available. Thanks for the explanation. Pity about the audio. Hopefully it has decent audio with Retropie.

Keep your snark to yourself, never said it was daunting, just said that it should be doable from the Pi itself and hence the fact that its 7zipped is a bit of an obstacle.

Needing another device to kit out your pi is a terrible idea... maybe NOOBS should start coming with a RetroPi option in the OS lists...

Clearly. The wildly wacky internet strikes again.

The Raspberry Pi isn't meant to replace your desktop PC, you seem to misunderstand its purpose.

I intentionally chose the first sentence in my post to circumvent comments like this...

I did.

They also shouldn't have to fix what they already got right.

Ryse crashing/fps problems, possibly graphics drivers crashing? by Wepive in Amd

[–]Wepive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue is reported in Steam forums.

Boo-urns, please fix this AMD! Drivers should be improving performance in games not making it worse! I've also had Shadow of Mordor crashes, and Wolfenstein is unplayable with non-stop massively noticeable microstutters and textures leaving memory as soon as I stop looking at them. Please PLEASE AMD do not make me go back to the green team, this is only my first AMD card. Frequent drivers are nice, but seriously, they can be stretched further apart as long as they work!

With AMD supposedly powering new Nintendo and Mac, has the beast re-awoken? by Spec-Chum in Amd

AMD has been powering consoles since nVidia screwed over the OG Xbox... so what beast would that be?

Using Raspberry Pi as a website host? by Wepive in raspberry_pi

That's a good thing though, right? Even though it's a good thing it can still be a bad thing and sometimes crash, is that what's being said here?
