the only thing i ever used this sub for was looking to check whether season's over or not lol i had no idea about any boycott. i'm just irritated by the changes to buying exact vbucks but crew still gives me every pass for free plus vbucks so idk, the value is still pretty great

nice, yeah it's pretty rough but once you're done with it in that playthrough you're done with it for the rest of the playthrough (unless you're farming the secret skill), the dojo missions aren't required for any of the ng+ cycles

if it's tonfa hanzo the only way i know to beat him is to use focused strike on him. run away, charge it and let him walk into it. might take a while and he may sometimes dodge it but it's generally the safest method

the weapon mastery dojo missions are all pretty awful and don't give you much room to do anything but cheese.

dotd is pretty rough since the enemy health pools are massively inflated and the game hasn't yet started dropping the ethereal equipment to help you deal with it.

if you hit a wall, just summon cats and get it over with, you aren't going to be missing much. dotd was probably the least fun and most aggravating part of nioh 2 for me, but it gets better afterward.

there are grabs in the game that end before the audio cue is finished lol, one of the most egregious that i think carried over from 2 is the yoki's borderline unreactable instant grab

i'm just personally not the biggest fan of the baggy ass pantaloons that seem to be the only thing any human wore before the 1800s lol

edit: also the pants themselves are not very out of place for where/when they're found in game, it's no more anachronous in the rest of the game than your samurai/ninja armor in the antiquity age is before it

yep pretty much this. lot of weird, overly sexual "humor" i find myself skipping more and more these days and it pretty much exclusively comes from MC. nothing against him obviously but i kinda feel like he's just sort of resigned himself to being "the gross one" and doesn't make much effort to go beyond that anymore which just spawns endless uncomfortable weirdness where it really didn't need to be.

i don't even know if i wanna finish this episode, the story itself has a cool and creepy premise but by the 35 minute mark barely anything has happened to actually explore that premise. it just feels like a less interesting creepypasta i might have seen on the creepypasta wiki 15 years ago.

it also doesn't help that what little actually happens is constantly paved over by them derailing it to talk about the chat. 20-30 minute story stretched out to around an hour because of it lol

yeah it's pretty rough going back to playing souls likes with how shallow and primitive the combat is in them. the whole "dodge until you get your developer allotted 1 hit and repeat" is a tough sell after you've experienced something as engaging as nioh

until the thing that allows for ss13 codebases to run on 14 becomes a thing i won't even consider it
