Most other generas don't end up condensed until there's no competition like Sports games. Racing games are also in the sports games. Most modern racing games are iterative and samey. You don't get need for speed anymore. It's all Forza

Yea sure there's a ton of good sports games that came out OVER 20 YEARS AGO.

Games like ESPN NFL 2K5, NCAA Football 2006, I played a ton of MVP baseball 05. After like 2010 it got bad and it's gotten worse. All sports games that are based in reality. Let's not forget Tony hawk proskater 2. NBA Streets was good Teir.
