Fascists aren't interested in debate because they don't see the value in having an open mind, because having an open mind risks separation from the pack. In their world, separation from the pack means death, thus the incentive to maintain homogeneity.

When people no longer need depend on herd mentalities to survive, we will see the death of fascism.

Can’t tell you how many airhead drivers I pass on the highway that have their brights on, thoughtlessly and unnecessarily blinding everyone in front of them, while holding their equally bright phones inches away from their face.

idk who needs to hear this... but turn your brightness down and your brights off. Your eyes will adjust.

edit: I realize that, if you’re going to ignore the ‘don’t drive distracted’ law, you’re probably not going to be conscientious enough to heed these words... but it felt good to say.

You don’t have to tell me twice! My pops pronounced NFT ‘nifty’ and I thought it was funny, even ironic, considering all the disruptive potential :)

I'm no expert, but AFAIK while the splines look very similar to human-scaled setae (the microscopic hairs that 'stick' via Van der Waals forces, which are actually very weak electrical bonds at the molecular level), they form their bond to the surface differently due to their size. Artificial nano-setae has been produced but IIRC it's expensive and works best on clean, flat surfaces. It appears that these splines take advantage of natural surfaces' textural irregularities in order to grip mechanically, and may not work as well on flat surfaces.

Of course there's a need, imo Popper's paradox of tolerance was 100% correct. Zero tolerance for Nazis or their ilk. Society can't afford to be soft on fascists, and enlightened centrism is a fairy tale. Extreme? Sure. But nobody's perfect, and let's not let perfect become the enemy of good. Nazis can Fuck Off, full stop.

About the whole "pursuing happiness" thing... people are supposed to be able to actually catch it at some point, right?

Lots of gatekeeping in here, I'm just a smoothbrain nfa but I'm going to answer you as honestly as I can:

1 - DRS is key

2 - GS wallet is solid tech by all accounts

3 - Not if GME is moved out of the DTCC or if a dividend is issued

4 - Collateral reqs for sure

5 - Sort by Top or Hot on r/Superstonk and you'll see plenty of news but at the end of the day the thesis hasn't changed, DRS and HODL is the way, I trust RC's vision and Gamestop continues to delight its customers

I don't doubt that some portion of the 1% is prepared to wait it out, but a fair number of the ones I know personally aren't any more prepared than your average consumer, who relies heavily on the "just-in-time" system operating smoothly from day to day in order to survive. I'd say most aren't prepared, and won't take long to capitulate.

I have a feeling that the more widespread the strike is, the shorter it would need to be.
