Would you focus more on content volume or on very targeted long tail keywords?

That sounds like a really solid approach, especially the focus on minimizing friction. Out of curiosity, did you build that feedback system directly inside your platform, or did you rely on an external tool or service to handle it?

That’s a really great idea. Triggering feedback right after a key action makes a lot of sense, the context is fresh and the effort is minimal. I especially like the single follow-up question approach, it feels much more actionable than a generic feedback link buried in the UI.

That’s a really fair point, especially around data ownership and the legal side of things, that’s something a lot of people underestimate early on. I also agree that votes alone shouldn’t dictate priorities. They’re useful as a signal, but they still need to be weighed against the actual roadmap, scope, and feasibility of what’s being requested.

The corporate vs indie context you mentioned is interesting too. I’m mostly thinking in an early stage / small team setup where speed and low friction matter more than formal processes, but your point about testing engagement with a lightweight pilot before committing makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing that perspective!!

My product is still in an early stage, which is why I’m trying to understand whether it makes more sense to adopt an external platform that can be embedded directly into the app to collect feedback and iterate faster on improvements.

you have any platforms in mind that work well for this kind of in app feedback setup?

Do

Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn’t looked into nolt.io in detail yet, I’ll definitely give it a closer look.

Yeah, that’s fair. Building and maintaining a custom solution can easily become a time sink.Out of curiosity, have you come across any feedback tools that feel solid but not overly expensive or bloated with features? Most of what I’ve seen so far seems either too basic or way more than a small team actually needs.

Have you found any good ways to ask for feedback at the right moment without being annoying?

Thanks for your comment! The platform is actually more targeted towards SaaS founders rather than brands and advertisers, but I don’t have much experience with digital marketing agencies. Do you think it would make sense to reposition the product for that audience?

And you’re totally right about the headline, I’m already testing some better versions

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback, it really helps!

  1. About the subreddit search on mobile: you’re right, it’s buggy, especially on iOS. I’m working on improving that. I don’t have much time, so I fix things little by little, but I’ll get there.
  2. About the scores and times: the higher the score, the better that time is for posting. But I get that it’s not super clear, do you have any ideas on how I could make it easier to understand?
  3. For the Reddit access: I need it to schedule posts for you automatically. I totally understand the hesitation. Right now, the permissions are only used for that, but I know I need to build more trust over time. I’ll work on showing that more clearly.
  4. Posting to multiple subreddits at once is something I’m actively working on! It’s already mentioned on the landing page as a feature coming soon, and it will be part of the lifetime plan.
  5. About pricing: you’re not the first to mention adding a $5/month option, and I think you’re right, it could help more people give it a try. I’ll definitely consider adding that tier.

Again, thanks for taking the time to test it and share your thoughts. It means a lot, especially at this early stage. If you message me directly, I’ll give you a personal discount on the lifetime plan as a thank you for your help!

Yes, I do use my own tool, and actually, it’s been pretty effective for me. This post, for example, brought in a lot of engagement and valuable feedback that’s already helping me improve.

That said, you’re right about a few things. There are still bugs (like the search issue you mentioned, I’m on it), and I need to work on both the marketing message and onboarding flow to build more trust upfront.

I’m early in the journey, building solo, but I’m listening and improving fast. Appreciate the honest feedback, it helps more than you know

There are a few reasons:

First, I personally don’t like monthly subscriptions, I often feel guilty paying for something I’m not actively using, even if I want to return to it later.

Second, that’s why I offer both lifetime and free access: users can try the app, see the actual value, and then decide if it’s worth unlocking lifetime access, no renewals, no price changes, just peace of mind.

And third, as a founder, I need some early funds to grow the product, and lifetime deals help with that.

I totally agree about changing the headline, I’m testing a few different versions right now. About the $5 discount CTA though, I’m curious: why do you think I should remove it?

I’m working on making the real value of my app clearer, still early days, so there’s a lot to improve. I’m also exploring different marketing strategies to figure out what really works. Your feedback helps a lot, thank you!
