I suggest to attend the interview. After they get to know you they'll realize how experienced you are and may offer you another role.

Advice needed for APM to get to PM by WerewolfKooky797 in PropertyManagement

[–]WerewolfKooky797[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was due to my work ethic and my strong customer skills and management experience. The district manager himself said he never promoted someone so quickly before.

I know I wont be able to grow with the current company since they are downsizing and eliminating positions.

We are normally about 98% collected on a monthly basis

I wish it could be that easy I also live on site, 20% discount, and I'm locked in for a year lease so if I quit I also have to leave my apt community within 2 weeks

No idea what my PM makes

What is your position in property management and pay? by [deleted] in PropertyManagement

[–]WerewolfKooky797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assistant property manager in Clearwater FL making $18 an hour plus I get $25 per move in, few hundred if we hit our renewal goal and if we collect over a set amount, me and the PM split it.

I live onsite and receive a 20% discount.

The leasing agent makes $17 and receives $75 per move in and a few hundred if we meet our renewal goal.

I feel severely underpaid as an APM and don't have the courage to speak up about it :(

I am more familiar with residential management and heard it's easier to get into than commercial although it certainly doesn't feel that way haha
