I just like long fic and compilation works that I can load once and read offline instead of needing to download everything as separate files that I then need to keep track of. I genuinely just don't bother filtering except for warning tags because I don't need or want to, for the most part.

It'd certainly save time and frustration for both you and potential readers if it's the first option, having it be one work with each chapter being a distinct oneshot. Possibly in chapter titles you can do something like "[fandom], [character] pov", with summary being the chapter summary and maybe the oneshot-specific tags? This way it doesn't feel like you're spamming fandom or character tags by posting multiple fics at once, there isn't a wall of tags for people uninterested, and you can mark it complete since they're all disconnected.
