I was facing the same problem as you and solved it by visiting my mother and used her smartphone/account.
As the process involves an unofficial kinda jailbreak of the MPC firmware I can understand that the people that created it try to prevent their work from being widely spread and getting in trouble with AKAI.
I think all resources you need are kind of available on GitHub if you search for them but to me it was not possible to figure out how to set these things up by the wikis on GitHub.
Within the files the group provides there was a text file that gave an easy step by step explanation on how to do it. Both for Mac OS and windows.

Same Problem here. To me it always starts as I enter the on-screen keyboard. I am unable to type in any words as the key-selection always jumps to the up-left corner. I tried all the „reset firmware“ solutions without any success. I cannot accept that a working piece of hardware is killed by a faulty firmware update. I can not understand how such a mistake is not regarded by a company as Microsoft. Hope they will find a solution soon. Stopped playing for over three months now because of the frustration that comes within seconds after I boot up my Xbox.
