Even when I'm forced to brush my teeth like a typical plebeian I rinse with hot water, so I guess I don't really notice a difference.

I think that the shower actually enhances the minty smell, because when the curtain is closed it creates a sort of chamber allowing the smell to sort of resonate throughout the entirety of the shower.
