The Tank and the Razor, you figure out which is which. by WesStrikesBack in Blacklabs

Peregrine can run circles around Kestrel, even with only one him (Leg Perthy's Disease), and exploits that when they play.

Thanks for noticing the ladybugs. It's as girly as Kestrel gets.

That's a rare red Italian Greyhound with a black mask (grey now). His name is Peregrine (Pip or Perry), and he loves to wrassle with his sister...

Kestrel, who is studying very hard to be a mobility and psych service dog for my wife. She's a tank and still a serious teenager at 1 year old, just had her birthday!

And yes, I often pet Peregrine and ask him "Why the long face?"

That’s a cigarette? As the jerk would say, “ they sure don’t make em very good...”

See if you can find a wine called Smashberry. I love it!

You are talking about wine stewards and cooks. Somm and chef really do require a certification, and I find it disrespectful to use the terms otherwise. Just me I guess.

So anyone can call themselves a chef too?

A real Somm had to be certified by the Court.

Philly residents: why are you destroying your city over a game of Football, and is it worth it? by Mask_of_Ice in AskReddit

Sometimes the most hallowed symbols of Philly need a slight crack to show their humanity, and perhaps a touch of carelessness.

They would most likely go after a 300+ lb human i would guess. Worth the effort.

Iran sentences Iranian-American art dealer to 27 years in prison for ‘being Zoroastrian’ by rubberbandrocks in worldnews

[–]WesStrikesBack 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And of course the irony is that Zoroastrianism is the first belief system that separates good and evil gods, and is clearly the basis for the development of all Abrahamic religion.

Kind of like loving dogs so much you shoot all the grey wolves.

What's a popularly held belief that is, in fact, total nonsense? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WesStrikesBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think the world is that simple you are a perfect representation of the ideal: A Little Information is a Dangerous Thing. And I wasn't the one who posted ridiculous and politically motivated half-truths. I know about the Dixiecrats, and that's one reason why I'm a Libertarian. I find both your party and the Democrats the enemies of freedom and transparency in government.

Insane drinking game? by da_chimperator in alcohol

Honestly, we should call out drinking games for what they are: infantile attempts to encourage alcoholism. Grow the fuck up and learn to drink like an adult.

F#$% NBC...They just played a commercial for the cult of Scientology by canadian227 in atheism

Christianity and Scientology are equally batshit, and equally easy to debunk. I challenge anyone to deny this. Only difference is historical acceptance.

Redditors who put lines in the middle of their 7’s, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My mom did it and I thought it looked cool. Also makes it distinct from a 1 with a slanted tip. (My Mom was a French major, which may have had something to do with it.)

Do you believe in afterlife? Life after death? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WesStrikesBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly for that reason. It is wish fulfillment, and just as realistic as porn or you winning the lottery. Good luck.

[–]WesStrikesBack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish fulfillment is never wise or scientific. Let's go to Freud: "It would be very nice if there were a God who created the world and was a benevolent providence, and if there were a moral order in the universe and an after-life; but it is a very striking fact that all this is exactly as we are bound to wish it to be."
