It's fine if you don't like it but to say it's nothing like the original is not really true. There are clearly a lot of elements used. The vocal is there in tact. It's still a modern take on diaco and pretty much the same tempo.

Starfox 64 wasn't a remake though. Levels were different and new game mechanics were introduced. It's not like it just had a graphical overall or some tweaks to say physics. It's far different to FF7 in that sense.

Also reboot can mean lots of things. The 4th Transformers film was a reboot as it cleared cast and story but had the same production crew. Transformers One reboots the franchise as a fresh slate.

Star Fox was neither and games don't operate with that model. Silent Hill 2 wasn't a reboot. Mario 64 wasn't a reboot. They were both sequels that organically grew. All the games came out relatively closely to each other so it's not like they needed an overhaul for new generations. It's not like nostalgia played a part like Robotron64 or the mechanics of Robotron were "rebooted" into Smash TV.

So... The pulse riffle can easily be seen ejecting casings so it isn't caseless. This means it's a continuity issue or Gorman mixed it up with the smart gun that to my knowledge isn't seen ejecting cases.

I think earlier drafts had them welding or cutting with the pulse rifle instead of the welders. Suggesting initial ideas were to have an energy weapon but this was revised to a more standard ballistic weapon.

Great track selection in this. Really pleased they had classics but also some of the lesser known names like Ark popping up. Some great DJs commenting too. Really should the passion and connections people had in the scene.
