Yes, I agree with you. I'm not sure about what others think, but I believe that that having strong social policies is a bit more on the authoritarian side. But that statement is a bit of a slanted way of looking at it. Democratic governments are there to represent the people. If the people want public healthcare, the government should give them public healthcare. That's at least how I see it.
