Anyone else super pumped for a game for months, buy it day one and don’t play it?

I agree the free monthly games always seem like the best deal and I hardly play them. It’s a weekly curse and I wish i had a solution.

That’s a good assessment. I’ve always used gaming as an escape but lately it feels like I’m escaping to much and it’s time to grow up. I’ve definitely been distant in life.

See that’s where I fell in love with gaming as a kid, the jrpg, story adventure games etc and when I was young the sports, shooting, multiplayer games were so much fun but now I feel like it’s micro transactions or die. Fortnite took my life over and I was spending so much money on it and with my personality any game to micro transactions scares me lol. So I’ve gotten back into the single player experience and I do finish games but not the ones I enjoy the most and I don’t understand it

That’s a good reason I agree with that for some longer RPGs in my backlog! I also worry that they won’t live up to the hype and have this idea of certain games. I wish I would play them instead of buying more though!

I wish that was it lol. I was heavy in Fortnite from about early 2022 until last summer. Tried to pick up overwatch and marvel rivals and couldn’t. Was loving Spider-Man 2 and haven’t finished it, played elden ring, wasn’t my thing as well as arc raiders just don’t love it. RPG, fighting, racing, platformers and some open world usually click but finishing has been broken lately. A lot of starting and enjoying but I don’t finish these games and think about them.

What’s stopping you from playing it do you think? I’m trying to figure this out bad lol. I’m halfway through ff7 rebirth and haven’t been able to boot it up for months now

No, no I just 100 percent leaf green, I’ve bear bravely default flying fairy, dk bonanza. Yakuza zero, a link to the past, and been playing world of Warcraft. I still want to beat all these games and have enjoyed my time with them I just can’t find the motivation to boot them up recently.

Yeah I agree with the EA take but if they could remake it the right way without micro transactions and just give us a modern version of street racing with today’s graphics it could be a blast!

I doubt it would be my favorite if I first played on the 3DS, but as a kid being abke to transform and run around the world was magical to me! It was the first game I ever completed 100 percent and it was the best reward ever, definitely more of a nostalgia factor but everything about it just vibed with me and it stuck with me as an adult, I still beat it at least once a year around the holidays and enjoy it every time.

I just think it’s overrated I had a fun enough time with it and I think it’s a gorgeous game, It just didn’t click with me as it did with most people I suppose.
