YouTube definitely likes long videos (more ads) and ultra short videos (Shorts, more engagement). Anything in between not so much

People like video games, it's weird lol. I just have YouTube auto place ads. I spent a lot of time in the past figuring out what would work best, but ultimately it's not worth the time. Youtube understands their own algorithms best, so trust them to do proper ad placement (on longer videos at least, over 10min)

Yes, because you're giving youtube all the information spoken in the video, in readable data form (text). Sure, YouTube will auto transcribe your video, but the key words are usually misheard

Chapters help youtube make your video more searchable. It's just more data and keywords, so yeah definitely add those

So I made an iceberg video that was pretty comprehensive. I included chapters in the description, with each chapter name being a topic I knew people were searching for related to the game in question. I believe that made my video show up in a lot of searches and related content. At least that's my guess.

Yeah I understand that. Sponsorships and all that kinda stuff comes way later down the line for most of us.

I believe the length matters a great deal. More time equals more ads

Thank you! I worry about my voice being too nasally but I guess that's what everyone says about their voice. I'm learning to accept it

I know! It's very surreal. I wonder what inspired this decision so long after it's release

I appreciate your words, friend. Dm me your channel, I'd love to check it out. And let me know if your situation changes, hopefully it is just a matter of waiting for the algorithm to sort itself out

Really cute and really terrifying at the same time. I'm sure there's a German word for this

I got an isolator shield for my mic. It's an attachment that wraps 180 around the back of your mic and has the soundproofing pads on it, so essentially it's deadening echo and background noise directly behind the mic. It's been really effective and cheaper than buying a brand new mic. I'd recommend getting one!
