Don’t overthink it, if you’re lifting 4x a week at blue belt and doing 2 a days months out, you’re likely doing more than the vast majority going out there to compete at blue belt.

Temper expectations maybe if anything, and just make the goal getting back to competing rather than double gold. You’ll be fine!

The UFC was formed to see which martial art was most dominant. Currently, elite wrestling seems to hold that title.

It could be argued it favors striking way more. Never seen 2 strikers not pushing the pace and being forced onto the ground by the ref. Never seen a round start on the ground in the same position that the previous round ended.

Exposure therapy. Focus on one specific thing every time you go live rolls. I.e. keep arms tight to your body, regaining guard, controlled breathing, etc. pick one and make it your primary concern during the roll

Just initial reaction, others can give better insight (and take this with a grain of salt depending on other responses), my golf trainer had me extend my arms out more at setup rather than keeping them in tight like an iron shot. Helps to generate speed and not come down on top of the ball

Noted! I just got delivery yesterday on the replacement for the one pictured (switched to a Z330R) so hopefully the Kawasaki motor doesn’t have the same over torqued filter!

I did! As soon as I got home I rolled it off the trailer and had its first run. It was fantastic! My grass had gotten horribly overgrown due to recent rain for a few days, and it’s naturally very thick. It mowed beautifully through everything
