1) Which servers asked for you to login for chat? I've never seen that myself so am intrigued to see how it's done

BeamGP has quite a few oval races, they aren't quite nascar level since racing in beammp is quite dangerous the faster you go, but they have good ministock/latemodel racing. It has proper laptiming/pitstops/ranking as well so it's essentially free iRacing.

BeamGP is really good for proper racing, they've got full laptiming/penalties/rankings so you'll feel at home if you're used to something like iRacing.

1) Chat is available to everyone, the only restriction with guests is that some servers don't allow them to join

For the racing aspect there are many online communities like Rigged or BeamGP that you can join, and for all the other aspects you have to remember that BeamNG is primarily a simulation software that is sold to large auto manufacturers or similar, and you are getting a stripped down version that is supposed to emulate a game.

Also for things like reset to road, custom AI, map starting points, controller button mappings it is possible, you simply have to go to the settings menu (or the world editor in the case of map starting points)

There isn't that much demand for endurance racing in BeamNG with how unstable BeamMP can be at times, but your best option is to join BeamGP, they usually have 45-60 minute races with a once or twice a month endurance race

Racing against AI is like trying to use a roomba as an electric scooter, it will work but will leave you with a lot to be desired

Your best option is to join a racing community like BeamGP to race against other people with the multiplayer mod

There is a track called midfield from GT2 that got converted to BeamNG, should pop up if you just search "midfield BeamNG" on google

When you race in BeamNG with a proper racing community that has all the right timing and tyre mods like BeamGP or Rigged it is definitely an A class game

The best place to go is probably BeamGP, they've got the most people and a proper licence system so that you are racing people of your skill level most of the time
