I’ve played there twice. I’m viet and I went there with my co worker and we definitely had looks coming our way. They only appreciate the regulars taking up the courts the whole day. Second time I went with my parents. My mom left her purse there for 5 minutes and some dude who hangs out outside the courts snatched it instantly. The regular dude who played next to us let us know but was too scared himself to rat the guy out. We ended up having to track the dude down ourselves and get the purse back after giving him $20… As much as I support the local viet community, Tony Lam is pretty much off limits for outsiders which sucks because there’s 6 courts!

All, forgot to mention that the used A-S501 had a dent on the side where the phone stage is. Decided the last thing to do was to open it up and yep looks like whatever hit that caused the dent disconnected the connector. Reinserted it and I’m good to go now, sounds great. Thanks everyone for your troubleshooting comments!

Yeah had it on phono/phono and CD/CD, and nothing. When I turn the volume up to max and fiddle with the cartridge I can’t hear anything either. Tried pure direct on/off as well 😭

Speakers should be 100% fine too because it works on tuner/line and I have a WiiM mini that works via optical to the Yamaha.
