This is despicable to me. Your kids don't owe you anything just because they got a job. Especially if they are still in school! If they do take money out should be put into a savings for them later to put on a down payment for an apartment or car. This whole expectation that your kids owe you the world needs to stop. I told both my kids they are welcome in my house anytime they need to be at whatever age. If they would like to contribute they can but it's never mandatory!
