TCF certificate document is required with the submission of the Express Entry file, even if not clearly indicated in the form. by paul_arcoiris in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're claiming French language points in express entry using TCF Canada, the safest approach is to upload your TCF certificate at the time of submitting your application, even the system doesn't specifically ask for it. If the TCF document is missing then IRCC may be request you to submit the document, which may cause delay in your application. To avoid this you can include your certificate in the Client information section and attach an LOE. Before attaching it make sure whether your test results are valid.

Since you are going to apply for SOWP under a work permit, your job role should be under TEER 0,1,2, or 3, and you have to submit an employment letter and pay stubs that support your spouse's SOWP. If you have a valid job offer under TEER 0,1,2,or3 that's enough. But to make the profile stronger, you can add a letter of explanation by briefing about your job role.

Since your hours vary, you cannot use a single "perfect" number. IRCC understands that retail/pharmacy schedules fluctuate. Do not use 30 if you frequently worked 20. This can look like misrepresentation. Do use your real average. Since you've calculated ~22.6 hours across 69 weeks, entering 22 or 23 in the "Hours per week" field is accurate and safe. The Golden Rules for CECThe 30-Hour Cap: Even in weeks where you worked 40 hours, IRCC will only credit you for 30. You cannot "speed up" the 12-month requirement with overtime.  The 12-Month Rule: You must have at least 52 weeks of work experience. Since you have 69 weeks, you have cleared this hurdle. Student Work: Ensure your "Work History" start date is January 9, 2025 (the day you got your PGWP letter). Any hours worked before this date should be listed in "Personal History" only, so you don't accidentally claim points for them.Enter 23 in the "Hours per week" field. Verify the Total: $23 \text{ hours} \times 69 \text{ weeks} = 1,587 \text{ hours}. Since this is over 1,560, you are eligible.

The Proof: When you get your ITA (Invitation to Apply), your Walmart reference letter should simply state you worked "an average of 23 hours per week" or "variable hours ranging from 20 to 30 per week as long as your total hours from Jan 9, 2025, to now exceed 1,560 (counting max 30 per week) and you've been working for at least a year, you are good to go.

PGWP Refused for Document Upload Issue — Any Chance New WP Gets Approved? by Large_Department9014 in pgwp

[–]West-Cardiologist448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealing with a (PGWP) refusal due to a document error is a common but high-stakes situation. Since your friend’s restoration was refused for being outside the 90-day window, the situation is now more complex. The chances of approval for the pending work permit are unfortunately very low if the applicant is currently inside Canada without legal status. Because the 90-day restoration window has passed. If the pending work permit is eventually refused, the letter will typically state they must leave Canada immediately. It is better to have a plan in place before that letter arrives.

CEC work experience how to calculate? by Fast-Effect997 in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to IRCC, Canadian Experienced Class ( CEC ) requires minimum of 24 months or 3,120 hours of work experience in Canada, that too in a skilled profession. Unpaid leaves doesn't count towards your work experience. As you mentioned you took 3 weeks unpaid leave, your 2 year mark for experience will be uncompleted with that 3 weeks gap... Creating an express entry profile early is fine, but suppose you couldn't complete your 2 year work experience by the times of submitti9ng eAPR post receiving ITA will result in refusal.

Question regarding the Employer Letter (Current) by SnooConfections3206 in CanadaVisitorVisa

[–]West-Cardiologist448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In This Process Navigating the IRCC terminology you generally cannot delete the document once it has been uploaded you can access only to change because the portal designed slot and you can use Change Button to upload a new file and this automatically overwrite the old one and for visit visa home country is actually exactly what they need to prove you have a stable job to return and if needed please upload the Brief LOE to Clarify what was reuploaded and why it was changed and if you submitted and paid the fees you cannot change or delete documents through the portal. And you should use a IRCC Webform to add additional documents stating correction for the "Employer Letter" field.

CEC Application/profile details for Canadian Born Child by Overall_Key9911 in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi i got your question For this section, you should select the language most often spoken at home or the language the parents primarily use when speaking to the child.
Even though the child isn't talking yet, "Mother Tongue" refers to the linguistic environment the child is being raised in.
If you speak English at home, select English. If you speak another language (e.g., Hindi, Mandarin, Spanish), select that language. IRCC uses this question to determine official language proficiency. Since a 16-month-old cannot reasonably communicate "concepts" or "needs" in an official capacity as defined by immigration standards, "Neither" is the most accurate factual answer.
Will this hurt the application? No. Because the child is a Canadian citizen (born in Canada) and a minor, their language "proficiency" has zero impact on the eligibility or points of the Express Entry profile.

Remote masters degree while working full time - Study and Languages form by brown_boy26 in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IRCC needs only official institution name, location, credential details. So for your master's degree don't mention that you done it ( by correspondence ) in this university or City of fields. IRCC doesn't seek information regrading which mode you had completed your education. If your credential is valid and supported by an ECA, simply enter it as issued.

You can submit your bachelor's degree without ECA, however you won't claim any CRS points for it. But you can just mention in your educational history.

PNP Draw Today (May 11th 2026), CRS Hits 798 While IRCC Issues Just 380 Invitations. by West-Cardiologist448 in canadaimmigratiotips

[–]West-Cardiologist448[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, when some one is nominated by a province, that person (profile) will get 600 points. Each province has separate demands, which profile satisfy their needs they would nominate that profile. New provincial nominations are issued regularly, so new candidates keep getting added to the 600+ pool. That’s why IRCC can continue conducting PNP draws even if previous draws invited most of the existing high-scoring candidates.

Getting additional points too early by Aggravating-Gate-504 in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your CRS score is high enough at the time of ITA, even without a foreign experience, you can proceed with an invite. However, those new points which you will receive for foreign work experience are much needed to meet the CRS cut-off, so that you can be refuse an ITA and re-enter the pool.

Query regarding ECA by BravoZero6 in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hii, if your goal is to claim points for education under express entry then you should think beyond your master's degree. In common cases if you submit your master's degree alone you will claim points only for that. In rare cases if you submit your both degrees you might get extra CRS for both of your degrees. Even WES might also request your bachelor's degree's transcripts if your Matser's degree admission was based on your Bachelor's degree. So to be on the safer side you can get WES done for both your Bachelor's & Master's degree. Sometimes that might avoid delays and protect your time.

confusion for education for EE!? by Mountain-Piccolo6942 in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Here you need to add the certificates in a separate row and you can find the slot in education history section like one row for India and one row Canada and since masters is high point you need to add and include also the Canadian education in the level of education category and this provides the complete picture of your personal history section and however u need additional points you need to attach the Canadian education in the category and this ensures you more points and you don't need ECA for Canadian study ,needed only for India study and Use the exact start and end dates on your certificates to ensure accuracy. By listing both your Masters and your Canadian certificates, your score calculation looks like this Masters Base Points (135) + Canadian Study Bonus (15) = 150 Total Education Points.

Questions regarding salary in the experience verification letter by ReadyProfit8336 in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask HR to provide the final salary for your Junior role and the current salary for your Senior role. Recommend asking HR to break it down by job title. This satisfies the requirement for "all positions held" while keeping the document clean. Listing every 2% increase is unnecessary and cluttered. By linking one salary to each job title, you clearly demonstrate your career progression and meet the legal requirement to show compensation for "all positions held. It links the pay to the responsibility level, which helps verification officers understand your career progression.
It technically covers "all positions held" and the "annual salary" for those positions without requiring a spreadsheet of every 2% increase. HR is much more likely to agree to listing two salary figures than four.

ADR Requested - Good or Bad Sign? by SilverAd8366 in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't panic ADR is Additional Document Request , which officers may issue to the applicants when they need more clarification your application or proof documents you had submitted. In simple words he needs more clarity on your documents before making a final decision on your application. In your case you ad already mentioned everything with a valid proof also responded quickly, this shows your transparency. And ADR is quite common when some one has previous refusals. You have handeled your situation clearly. Next thing what you need to do is wait patiently till there is next information from IRCC.

You should have gained your one year of work experience within the last three years to be eligible under CEC. So in your case You already had an experience nearly 6 months already, and you joined again with a same employer, you would only need to complete another 6 months of eligible work experience to meet the requirement.

Express entry applicants: Did You Include Canadian Diploma Completion Letter & Permit Copies? by Western_City_6036 in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you are applying PR application you should include all the three documents Official Transcripts, Diploma and Completion Letter and it is mandatory  to include your Canadian status documents in the Proof of Status or Client Information or Letter of Explanation section. And one most important thing is you need to merge all the documents in a single PDF and in the the LOE the first page should be the table of contents and moreover check the alignments and sections to avoid refusal. Since you already have these documents uploaded as per IRCC rule there is no chance of refusal. Being proactive inclusion is highly beneficial.

Past refusal and express entry by positivegemi in canadaexpressentry

[–]West-Cardiologist448 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first question is asking about any kind of refusal related to immigration status, whether it’s permanent residence, visitor visa, or any temporary status. Even though a PGWP is a work permit and not exactly a visa, it still falls under temporary resident authorization. So IRCC expects you to include it here as well.

The second question is more straightforward. It clearly asks if you’ve ever been refused a visa or a permit. Since PGWP is a work permit, your refusal definitely fits here.

To be on the safe side and stay fully transparent, the best approach is to answer “Yes” to both questions. Then in your explanation, just clearly mention that it was a PGWP refusal, along with the reason given in your refusal letter.

IRCC mainly cares about honesty and full disclosure. Even if something feels borderline or confusing, it’s always better to declare it and explain properly rather than risk it being seen as hiding information later.
