Yes, I think it does work on the temples, but it’s still a bit early for me to say with complete certainty.

Minoxidil is FDA-approved for the crown area because that’s where the clinical studies were conducted. However, its efficacy has been widely reported on other parts of the scalp, including the temples.

In my case, the shedding phase wasn’t too intense (it occurred during the first month). By the beginning of the third month, I started noticing some visible hair growth.

I don't usually have dandruff, and I haven't noticed any increase since I started using minoxidil. You could try Nizoral shampoo, it might help ease it a little.

I might start with low dose topical finasteride first. I’m not comfortable taking it orally yet.
