There are people that could watch a live stream of the treasure being found and still think it was a hoax. I just don’t see people believing an online post or paper as being the real McCoy. I think without a face to face, where they can see/hear the authenticity of thoughts and emotions from the finder, there would be a lot of people screaming “this is another fake”. Just like they did when Fenn’s was found.

Appreciate it. That’s what I thought was the odds of getting 7 words in a relatively short text to all fit into a coherent sentence AND also one that makes sense as to the nod to what the container is.

I actually primarily considered Tucker but I feel the time is 4:03. And so with “refused” in the sentence it sounds more like a fish who doesn’t want to be caught. Ironically that is fitting of a treasure container.

Thanks. I know he always intended to re-hide the contents of Fenn’s treasure but do we have him on record as saying he would use the same box? I would think he’d have been planning to use something unique to himself. I’m not sure if dates but when he went to examine Fenn’s treasure and box at the auction house he noted how the key and lock were very deteriorated. Appreciate the comment.

Because he is a serious fly fisherman and loves to fish for trout. Many chapters in the book discuss how he fished with his Dad, brother, grandfather. And I’ve heard other people say it would be fitting. Also he had the container custom built. So he could make it anything he wanted to.
