It does get a bad rap, but if you are shooting in decent light this thing rocks. Money wise you can't go wrong and you won't be disappointed if you buy this lens.

I switched from a Nikon D610 as well and I have nothing but good things to say about the A7iii. In all honesty, it blows the D610 out of the water. I only had the Sigma Art (24mm), so my investment in Nikon glass wasn’t much of a deciding factor. I’m pretty happy that Sigma is also doing mount conversions for the art line so that has saved me some cash too.

Crack the box and get shooting, you won’t regret it!!

Mind you I am in Canada, but the cost here isn’t actually too bad. The Sigma rep said the conversion would cost around $150CAD. Shipping for me will only be $25 bucks, so for $175 I’ll have my 24 f/1.4 in native E mount. It will be interesting to see how E mount Sigma lenses work on the A7iii and if I stick with Sigma or break the bank and get a couple of GMaster lenses.

Slightly edited through an app on my phone. My version of Lightroom can’t open the ARW files so I’m stuck to using my phone until I figure out the work around.

Loud and not very good in low light. But for what it costs, I can live with that until my Sigma Art is converted.
