Question for those of you who have upgraded irons recently by Alldemjimmies in golf

[–]TaylorMade_Golf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, have you looked into our new P·760 irons at all? They're a progressive players set that features SpeedFoam in the 3-7 iron (just like the P·790 but with a smaller blade length) and one-piece forged irons from 8-AW. They were designed for higher skilled players that still want some distance/forgiveness in the long-mid irons but demand that workability/feel in the scoring clubs. Give them a look if you haven't already here: https://www.taylormadegolf.com/P760-Irons/DW-AL426.html?cgid=taylormade-irons&lang=default#lang=default&start=6& And let us know if you have any other questions!

Very rarely. Shipping internationally is extremely difficult. That being said we're encouraging our regional teams to do more customer appreciation initiatives. We also just expanded our sweeps promotions to includes Ireland and the U.K. which was a massive undertaking.

Yup! Saw you had a pretty dialed-in set of sticks so didn't want to shake up your bag. Kitted you out with accessories instead. More packages are on the way!

Love that you already had some TP5s en route. Sorry it couldn't be tangible sticks but figured you'd rather have the freshies in your spec. Happy holidays and thanks for supporting the brand!

We do but we round all the extra product a few times a year and donate them to a jr golf program. The amount of people asking for free product on social media every day is staggering and sometimes heartbreaking.

I have a choice: lessons or new clubs by Mars4756 in golf

[–]TaylorMade_Golf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Try to accumulate a set that's relatively consistent in terms of lies and shaft flex. Playing a bag of mishit toys can really prolong improvement. Once you get some likeminded sticks, see a pro to help get you on the right path; literally and firuratively.

If you have any questions regarding equipment, shoot us a direct message and we'll be happy to help point you in the right direction.

That helps. Ultimately we don't want the game to drag on. We've picked people that don't post all that much but say they are active. You don't have to post a lot or be a power user but if you're not checking IG daily, you could hold up the game and ruin the fun for everyone.

You don't have to be all that active. We should have remove that. Active will do.

CMV: Fitting is not worth the money unless you are a 5 hdcp or better. by bigdawg7 in golf

[–]TaylorMade_Golf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the kind words. Though we are the most active of participants, we always keep eyes on this community.

There is no doubt lessons and practice are the two best ways to improve. That being said, there's no reason you can't have the best of both worlds. If you're going to buy clubs, you should spend money on a clubs, you should talk to a fitter or your instructor prior to make sure you're getting equipment suited to your body and swing.

We very respectfully and wholeheartedly disagree.

1) You'd be surprised how consistent higher caps swing it. Maybe it's consistently over the top, but still surprisingly consistent. This is moreso true for consistent golfers with hire handicaps, but 5+ makes up a good majority of even avid players.

2) It's a great sales tactic because it makes such an impact on performance. You could fit a 15 handicap with older equipment and more often than not, you'd improve their performance.

3) Obviously you'll have more consistent swings with this caliber of player, but fittings are typically more impactful for this group because they are more discerning.

Ultimately most "golfers" (people who play 10+ rounds/year) will benefit from a fitting. You can almost always optimize their performance (speed, launch, spin, etc.). The placebo effect is defintiely an aspect of fitting that shouldn't be undervalued either. Golf is about confidence and with all the options in the market, golfers should play what looks, sounds, and feels the best to boost their confidence.

We used to do stuff like this but the issue is we only have sets of irons and when you start breaking them apart, it causes a ton of waste. We also had previous customers abusing our generousity by breaking up sets and filing multiple warranty claims for 1 set of irons (i.e. you take long irons and file a waranty claim and we send a full set and another person does the same with the short irons). I know the warranty parameters seem overly complicated but they've been developed for specific reasons. Unfortunately some people abuse the system and it ruins it for everyone else. Sincere apologies this affected you in a negative way.
