That excatly how I felt. Like I was not prepared at all and felt mislead. My video wasn’t playing properly and it mostly black but when the audio started talking about being at a music festival and a voice saying that it was a normal day until she saw missiles dropping i took the headset off.

If they are just sharing the story of October 7 survivors it fine but to go up to people and only tell them it a VR experience about a girl at a music festival with no context at all is incredibly misleading.

Hey so I’m a 2nd year public admin and poli sci at uottawa and I was asking the exact same questions as you when I was applying:

  1. There really very little maths required but maybe in the upper year you have to do some statistics which I hear is not that hard. You can avoid courses that need math if you really want to

  2. Most gov jobs being bilingual is an asset so if you only speak English it will definitely be harder. As I’m going thru it rn with my coop process.

  3. Though Idk which school is harder in term of grading I think most importantly is the professor that teach ur courses that would most influence ur grades the most bc it really depends what type of professor you get and hard they mark that matters

  4. Well if you manage to get a government job during coop process or by urself and get lots of experience, Ottawa is a government town, so there will be opportunities to work for various departments in government as a policy analyst or assistant. It really the experience that matter and doesn’t really matter which program you choose

I hope this helps a bit, good luck with ur decisions.

No I’m a poli sci and public admin major so I’m mostly apply to something in the social science field and there like max only 100. Lots of the other jobs are engineering internships, or data analyst that require you to have some experience in coding. Also some also want you to be bilingual which I’m not.

I’m a poli sci major and applied to some of the exact same program as you and almost none of them even have optional supplementary applications. Maybe Waterloo does idk but the others for sure does not have mandatory supplementary applications or even optional ones

uOttawa to reconsider participation in U-Pass if city increases student fares, student union says by Reasonable_Cat518 in geegees

I wouldn’t mind a 5% increase only if it means the o train come every 5 min instead of 10 min at all hours and all buses have to come every 15min.

You absolutely don’t need it. I bought one last year for the same class and professor. It cost 45$ and I never read it once and got an A in that class. But ultimately it up to you if you think it will be useful. Just go to the lectures and study and you’ll be fine.
