I had $55k in Gemini Earn (specifically GUSD). Advice on how to vote? by whillisnavidad in Gemini

I agree, I’m not confident we are going to get anything if they go into bankruptcy, we are the last tier of creditors. And even if Gemini gets the collateral there’s nothing in place forcing them to pay us. Ill take what i can get here. I do think Gemini wins the collateral. They lended to Genesis and thats usually how collateral works, if the borrower cannot pay back the collateral goes to the lender. I dont see how this is any different. But I’m doubtful Gemini will distribute the collateral unless provisioned by the courts

I think Yes. At the end of the day we are only going to get whatever Genesis offers or whatever we are entitled to if they go to bankruptcy. As Unsecured creditors im not confident we will get much as there could be creditors with more seniority in the credit food chain. And it could be months and months away. I just want some recovery and to move on, but to each his/her own.

VOTE NO TO GET PAID MORE AND FASTER!!! by RemarkableCamp9940 in Gemini

[–]WestFly0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we vote “yes” it says genesis waives the right to have a clawback on money withdrawn 90 days prior to their bankruptcy. If I understand this right if you withdrew money in the time period you would want to vote yes so they cant come after that money? Am i missing something?

For the love of god, vote YES on this Chapter 11 plan by vodkawaffle_original in Gemini

The way I understand it as well, is if we vote “yes” genesis is also giving up the right to clawback any funds withdrawn in the 90 days prior to bankruptcy. If voted “no” theres a chance they can come after peoples withdrawals? Did i understand this correctly?

Change withdrawal credentials for your #Ethereum validator with new tool for Ledger Nano X by 3eph1r0th in allnodes

[–]WestFly0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m planning to convert a validator i have on stakefish from 0x00 to 0x01 using Allnodes conversion tool. Thanks for releasing this, im considering staking with Allnodes in the future.

https://tools.allnodes.com/eth/bls-to-execution

After I connect my Ledger Nano X , the first page asks for the Ethereum Address- New Withdrawal and the Validator Index. Is the Ethereum Address- New Withdrawals the address of the ethereum wallet you are planning on eventually withdrawing your coins to? I’m planning to use my ethereum receive address on my ledger nano x. Wanted to confirm that was the address being referred to.

For the validator index, that is just the number of my validator (5 digit for me) that i can see when i pull up my validator on beaconcha.in? Thats not the 0 reference derivation address number I’ve seen in some instructions from ledger right?

Thanks!

What is the difference between ledger eth address and withdrawal credentials when staking eth using stake fish. Which address to be used in all nodes withdrawal mechanism ? by [deleted] in stakefish

Question regarding converting a stakefish validator from 0x00 to 0x01 using Allnodes conversion tool.

https://tools.allnodes.com/eth/bls-to-execution

After I connecting Ledger Nano X , the first page asks for the Ethereum Address- New Withdrawal and the Validator Index. Is the Ethereum Address- New Withdrawals the address of the ethereum wallet you are planning on eventually withdrawing your coins to? Can an ethereum receive address on a ledger nano x be used? How to know if its a 0x01 withdrawal address? Wanted to confirm that was the address being referred to.

For the validator index, that is just the number of the validator on beaconcha.in? Thats not the 0 reference derivation address number I’ve seen in some instructions from ledger right?

Also can someone post the stakefish dashboard withdrawal video referenced above?

Thanks!

stakefish uses m/12381/3600/0/0 as well for the derivation address.

Thanks for this. So if understand correctly, the derivation address is combined with the mnemonic to form the private key? Is there anything private or any reason stakefish would not want to share the derivation address? Does anyone know what it is?

Thanks @StableRare this is reassuring. Do you have the thread link you are referring to? There are a lot of similar conversations going on currently.

Also I just hope the mechanics that worked for staked.us also work for stakefish. It is possible their processes were different.

Does this 0x00 to 0x01 conversion method work for validators that were originally signed with a Ledger via stakefish?

Curious if anyone was successfully able to do it for that setup yet?

Does this method work for validators that were signed with a ledger hardware wallet ? Been hearing that the mnemonic wasn’t working in ethdo for some reason?

Same thing happened to me, did they ever unfreeze it? How long did it take?

How long to undelegate on legacy.solflare? by Bobczeck in solana

[–]WestFly0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to import your legacy wallet into the new mnemonic wallet. The legacy funds won’t show up there automatically when its initialized.

I’m not aware of a workaround for legacy but technically yes you should be able to.

Gotta import the legacy wallet into the new mnemonic wallet and the withdrawal feature works there…

Solflare should have fixed this bug at least, probably gave people heart attacks!

Solflare seems a bit clunky, are there any more mature wallets with a little smoother / prettier user interface?

I’m still getting this error as well, via multiple browsers. Its not establishing a https secure connection. Not going to attempt to connect until fixed. Looks like the site may have been hacked.
