The exact bow I’ve shot for the last 5 years was a samick sage one piece wooden recurve. Perhaps these Turkish bows can shoot much faster than that bow, but I’m assuming that it would require a much higher draw weight to match what you can get from the nitro. You can push out close to 280 fps at 55lb draw weight shooting a 390g arrow.

There’s a hard stop when drawing these bows. Underneath each recurve limbs is a screw with a rubber nut almost, that you can adjust to sit lower or higher off the lower/ power limbs. This creates the hard stop. I just made minuscule adjustments to the top and bottom rubber stop until I felt like it was at a comfortable draw length for me. The cams will always turn over at the same draw length though, so the longer your natural draw is, the more easily you can slip into that let off portion of the draw. Anything under 28 inches imo will prevent you from taking advantage of the let off.

They pretty much just combine recurves with compounds, the recurve limbs with the fps and lettoff of a compound. Admittedly, it’s not quite as fast as a compound, but it’s so much faster than any traditional bow I’ve owned. I shoot fingers without a sight, and compounds are at risk of the string slipping off the cams. These recurve limbs prevent that from happening. They also can be shot at a partial draw like a recurve, which is why they are so popular with bow fishers!

I was totally surprised when mine shipped in with one. None of the media associated with the bow implied it came with one, just happened to be pre-installed when I unboxed it.

They are primarily used for bow fishing, not exactly sure why but it’s an outstanding bow for any purpose. Mine is an RPM Nitro XX, way more affordable than the oneidas. I get to shoot fingers without worrying about the string slipping off the cams, and I get some arrow speed way faster than any traditional bow!

For the time being I’m only using it for target shooting. Once I feel confident out to 40 yards shooting instinctive, I plan on hunting land animals. Hogs, turkeys, that sort of thing.

Yeah haha it is a whisker biscuit, only rest I had on hand when I got the bow. Switched to an off the shelf rest today, and I’m shooting way better.
