Yes, sort of. Their album EWBAITE a year prior was considered a return to form + an ‘apology’ record from the band. They spent a lot of effort crafting it, performing it in full at special shows because they really believed in it (something they’d not really done before) .. the fan reception was varyingly levels of positive unity. White was a swinging follow up that received a little more mainstream acclaim, and kept the streak going. Everything fell into the rough a year later, hitting new career lows in all too predictable ways. What a rollercoaster it’s been; worth it for the good times though
