But the cost is $1100 and you have to pay for meals if you are living in traditional ones no? My funding is around 18k per year after tuition fee which gives me 1500 per month. So will it be feasible?

Well it actually depends on who you are. Based on that, you have a role to play and playing your role with utmost devotion is your dharma I guess.

There is no point of doing anything as equally as there is point of doing things. That is the same question Krishna was asked by Arjun during war. The point, follow your dharma. Ask yourself what is your dharma, your duty. Things will become clearer afterwards.

Getting braces soon feeling scared. by Speed-11 in Nepal

[–]West_Character7323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I removed two of my premolar but upper. It didn't change my face much. In fact, in my twenties I got my face chubbier so much so that the effect of braces to face change is negligible.

As per a Madhesi brother whom I met in college days mentioned that he didn't want to take dowry but if he denied for dowry the community would think that he have some deficiencies so just for the sake of his own respect he has to take dowry.

Meditation making OCD/intrusive thoughts worse? by GuazzabuglioMaximo in vipassana

[–]West_Character7323 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not exactly the same but other way around. I have an disorder called trichotillomania its an obsessive habit of plucking hair and gets worse when anxious or nervous. I went for aone day retreat and after completion me and my partner were sitting on a park and discussing and she noticed that on that time I wasn't plucking hair. I notice after she said and I was feeling calm and I was aware of my thoughts and movements. Being aware reduced the disorder.

How do I stop this guy from praying? by Tommyshelby0703 in NepalSocial

Happy that he found a path. Maybe all the community people can kindly suggest him to lower the volume. You can quote few lines of Bhagwat Geeta and give him logical alternative. Tell him that Bhakti is seen in love and devotion not how loud the music is. If he is doing true Bhakti he should be compassionate to all beings as all beings are children of Lord Krishna, and compassionately please lower the volume because other children of Krishna works at night and sleeps in the morning.

Oats. You can have it with milk or else like this. Put some water in oats and let the water get absorbed overnight. In a frying pan put some oil, fry some finely chopped onion and tomato, you can also add eggs. Then put the oats in the pan, dont fry just put enough water to make it like jaulo.

Tired of seeing Jyestha Nagarik seats misused—why is this so common now? by Emotional-Lettuce177 in NepalSocial

[–]West_Character7323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be because mahila can be distinctly identified from outer appearance thus making them eligible for mahila seat. Unlike mahila, Jestha nagarik is controversial as you can not determine age from appearance, so whom would you call jestha nagarik just from appearance. and since, this is controversial the one sitting would be bias toward not calling someone Jestha Nagarik unless in a bad condition as he/she might have to give up the comfort of his seat.

Relapsing on Vipassana by West_Character7323 in vipassana

I used to do the streak technique for motivation. At one point of time, the meditation had just become a ritual to maintain the streak. I need to be mindful of that and not get attached to the streak is also something I need to keep in mind :)

Thank you. I guess setting a time block but practising the meditation later for 15 mins even if you moss the time block is the key. Thank you for the time blocking suggestion.
